"You know she and Lilly are bringing somebody." Tina said. Bette looked at Tina trying to get her to stop, but Jess’s curiosity was already perked and couldn’t be calmed.

"Who are they bringing?" Jess asked walking out of the pool with Angelica in her arms.

"You will just have to wait and see." Bette said.

"I thought it was just going to family." Jess said trying to coax a hint out of one them.

"Alice and Lilly are family. They are your godmothers." Tina said.

"And is this other person family?" Jess asked.

"I consider her family." Tina said.

"I know who it is." Shannon said from in the pool.

"Who is it?" Jess asked her.

"I was sworn to secrecy." Shannon said.

"Not cool." Jess said.

"You said it was just going to family." Hillary said to Laurie.

"It is. I thought tonight would be a good time to Jess to learn a secret. I thought it would take some of the pressure off of you. They can be quite intrusive at times." Shannon said. Bette and Tina had originally planned a quiet family dinner with just them and the kids, but Shannon had suggested the entire family come. Shannon missed the entire family get together most of all. She wanted Hillary to meet the whole family not just part of it, because everyone played such a major role in their lives.

"You are so sweet." Hillary said giving Shannon a kiss.

"eww. Get a room." Ian said standing on the side of the pool with his Super Soaker in hand. This water guns were one of the gifts that Jess had given them for their last birthday.

After Jess finally broke hers they swore that none of their other children would have them. Partly because Jess being the prankster she was would shoot it from her room during parties or pull something else. Jess had told them when she gave it to them that if they were anything like her they would find something to prank with so they might as well know what the boys had in their arsenal.

"So who is this mysterious guest?" Hillary asked. They were talking softly so Jess couldn’t hear them.
