    Chapter One

    “Porter, where’s Tina?”

    -“She’s gone.”

“What do you mean, she’s gone?”

-“She’s no longer here. She left. You won’t be seeing her, ever again. Need I say more?”

“What?! And you’re just going to let her leave like that?”

    -“What can I do?”

“How about chasing after your girl?”

-“She doesn’t want to be chase.”

    “How do you know that?”

    -“She told me so.”

“And that’s going to stop you? I thought you loved her?”

    -“More than you’ll ever know.”

    “Then do something about it!”

-“I am. I let her go.”

    Eight Months Later.

    The Planet.

    Monday, April 5.

    2:09pm.

“Do you know why Porter called us here, Kit?”

“I don’t know, but whatever it is, it’s big.”

“Shane? Dana? Do you know?” Alice asked. They shook their head. “Hmm. She’s up to something.”

“You don’t have to wait any longer, because here she comes.” Dana pointed to the door.

Bette approached their table, “Hey guys” and took the seat next to Alice. “Thanks for coming.”

“What’s the deal, Porter? What are you up to?”

Bette smiled. “I have big news to tell you guys.”  They gang carefully listen for Bette to revealed her announcement. “I’m getting married!” She screamed.

    “What, Porter?”

    “Baby girl, are you kidding?”

    “Cris-pay.”

“Wow, it’s so nice to know that I have the support of my friends and family.” Bette said sarcastically.

“We support you 100%, sis, but don’t you think this is too soon?”

    “No.”

“Wait a minute.” Alice quiets the table. “Who are you getting married to?”

    “Evie.”

“Evie?! You went out on three dates with her!”

“What’s the problem? She loves me.”

Shane finally spoke. “I’m happy for you, Bette.”

Dana, Kit, and Alice turned to Shane. They all thought, ‘What the heck, Shane!’

“Thank you, Shane. I knew, at least, I would have your support.” Bette smiled at her young friend.

“Don’t listen to, Shane, Porter. She’s still high on hair products.” Alice spat. “You have to think this over, Porter. This Evie chick is not to trust. For goodness sake, she told you she loves you on the first date. Shouldn’t you take that as a hint that’s she’s a couple chocolate chips short of a cookie?”
