At her desk Bette felt herself tearing at the overall honesty situated within the text she had just received, yes something was definitely different about today she smiled to herself. Typing a quick reply she busied herself for the next few hours before she could go home to unwind and see her two beautiful girls. God she hoped she would see Tina before sleep overcame her.

A playful menu was on the horizon, something enticing and sensual she reminded herself; it had been far too long since she thought about how sensual their relationship had once been. It still could be, she quickly rectified and scolded herself at thought of quoting it as past tense. Creating a banquet to serve a Queen not just any Queen she boasted gleefully, today had evoked such a mirage of emotions and thoughts but it would all be for something worth fighting for. This funk, this non-existent living dry- spell, hell whatever it could be defined as would be well and truly over tonight if Bette gave her one more chance to make this right.

Preparing the last finishing touches to the newly decorated house, the blonde smiled content that everything looked perfect but still she worried it would all look like a soppy half attempt at a grand gesture, that would be worse knowing Bette wouldn’t see all the effort she had gone through today. Smoothing down her dress she knew Bette was on her way home, Alice had been sent to spy on her. And according to the eccentric blonde she would have been better than James Bond in his hay day maybe even better than MI-5. Hiding in the guest room down the hall from the bedroom she sat waiting patiently for another text confirming what she would probably hear. Sure enough it came, her heart thumped erratically she wondered what the brunette’s face would appear like but she would find out soon enough. 

The brunette parked her car in the drive, she had been informed by Kit that she would pick Angelica up from day care it had been a few days since she had some quality time with her niece and she had a free afternoon. So initially Bette had a free couple of hours to relax or so she thought. She noticed there was no car in the drive way, Bette felt slightly dis-heartened but reminded herself it was just a little after six. So why would Tina be home this early from work.
