    Will our star crossed lovers ever find each other again?

     

                Bette arrived home and noticed the lights on in her bedroom. “I thought I turned those off,” she said to herself.

     

     

     

                Bette walked into her house and immediately noticed Alice sitting on the couch, clutching a blanket.

     

                “Al, what is wrong?” Bette sat by her side.

     

                “This is wrong, Bette. Dana being gone, do you know that I have not told Lara what Dana’s last word were?”

     

                “You never told me what her last words were, Al.”

     

                “She said she loved me. Bette. She didn’t say anything about Lara. I think that Lara and I are using each other to mask the pain of losing Dana. I couldn’t stay. I just left. I didn’t say good-bye or offer any explanation. I just left. What is wrong with me, Bette?”

     

                “Alice, losing Dana has been tough on us all, most especially on you and Lara. I know that Dana loved you both very much. She wasn’t happy that she broke up with you for Lara. She and I talked one night about it. She felt that she never gave Lara the chance. Make no doubt that Dana loved Lara. She loved you too, Al. You need to decide if you want to be with Lara or just be friends. Don’t base this on Dana wanting you two to take care of each other. Do what feels right in your heart. Talk to Lara afterwards, and move from that point.”

     

                “Bette, how do you do it? You see Tina everyday with Henry. How do you not just want to go insane?”

     

                “Well, Alice, it has been a long, hard road. However, I love Tina enough to know when the time for letting go is. I listened to the soundtrack to Jekyll and Hyde the night I decided to move forward. The song ‘Letting Go’ was on. I listened to the words, Al. They spoke to me. I knew that time had come for me to let her go. I am grateful for our new formed relationship. Does that mean I don’t pine for her daily? No, I long to feel her in my arms each night before I go to sleep and every morning I wake up. I want to hold her and feel her hand in mine. It isn’t meant to be. I take what I can get. I will meet someone, someday. Right now, I focus on my daughter and my gallery.”

    4. I just caught up with the last 3 chapters, it’s just amazing the amount of sad feelings you can create in writing inside of me. Sleep well but don’t let us wait too long!

    6. tina has made up her mind. Not to decide is to decide! I also want to know why Bette has to change everything about her to please Tina..for nothing! Bette needs to put down clear boundaries..no more fooling around, pardon the pun! Write more soon, and just in case you were gonna have Bette kick tina out, I will hold the door for ya!

    10. I think Tina is standing on her head and singing Dixie. Oh and almost completely nude except for her committment ring. Tina needs to choose like yesterday. Boring with Bette is way more exciting than a great day with Henry.

    15. Tina keeps popping up on Bette when she should be with Henry, why? She was at the house at 7am and found Candace and Helena, she called Bette at 4:30am then a few hours later she’s at the house, why? Her relationship w/Henry and his anatomy are so new she should be eager to be with him? What’s really going on over there? Also she keeps intruding on Bette time with Angelica, why?

    17. Hey West_tx, I just got caught up on the last 3 chapters. Excellent writing. I’m hoping that Tina is playing mind games with Bette right now… especially after Bette was so honest and clear about her feelings. I’m so anxious to know what’s next, I can hardly wait for your next update.
