She stared at him for a moment. Then turned around to look at Carmen who had tears falling down her face.

" Carm .. ? "

" Shane look out ! " Carmen warned, but it was too late. The coach had sliced Shane across the back with the knife. She didn’t fall but she yelled out in pain. Then he grabbed her shoulders turned her around and threw a hard jab in her face. She fell over limply. Then he got down on his knees, he grabbed Shane’s throat and put the knife to it.

" Well Shane, anything you want to say to your girl before you die ? " He said to her battered form. Carmen stood there terrified, tears were literally forming pools at her feet.

" Please don’t … " Carmen begged, sobbing uncontrollobly

" Carmen … I-I L-Love Y-You .. " Shane uttered out. Coach Long jabbed the knife quickly into Shane’s stomach, and then Coach Long raised the knife aga, just before he went to cut Shane’s throat … BANGGG, BANGG, BANGG !

There had been 3 gun gunshots … and all 3 of them hit Coach Long right in the back of the head. He dropped to the ground, helpless, and lifeless, blood was draining from his head and mouth forming a large puddle on the ground. Him and Shane laid side-by-side bleeding. Shane of course was still alive, but Coach Long was deffinately dead.

Carmen, still crying, made out the character who had shot Coach Long, the person ran over from her spot and kneeled down next to Shane. It was Papi …

Carmen didn’t stay in her place for long, she too ran over and kneeled down next to Shane.

" You have no idea how glad I am to see you " Carmen said still crying

" You have no idea how glad I am that I was here … " Papi replied back as she whipped out her cell phone and dialed 911, when they answered she began talking about her location, and what happened. Meanwhile Carmen was gently stroking Shane’s hair. Shane’s eyes were still open, but slightly closing because of exhaustion and pain.

" Thank you … you’re going to be okay … " Carmen said as she softly kissed Shane’s head; tears still falling.

Shane was too weak to reply but slowly raised a hand to Carmen’s face to wipe away her tears. Carmen took her hand in hers and placed it on her own face. Shane smiled weakly.

" Okay, thanks " Papi told the ER as she hung up the phone.

" Hang in there bud, helps on the way " Papi assured as she looked over Shane’s body, scoping out the wounds she endured. She had deep, long cuts in her stomach, her shoulder, and especially her back. Then she had another bruise forming over where the old bruise was beginning to heal. And on top of it all … she was absolutely exhausted.

Carmen and Papi waited for the Ambulance to arrive. Kneeling next to Shane the whole time. Watching blood slowly soak through her clothes.

" I love you too … "

Anyway, I’m glad I updated, I almost didn’t today, as I told you in my authors notes I lost my best friend’s mom today, who I was really close to, but then I thought about all you loyal fans and I said " Awh, what the hell, for them I’ll do it ! "

HaHa, so anyway if you have time please leave something, that would make my bad day better …
