Shane opened it and to her suprise Carmen was standing there, " Heyy baby ", Carmen said as she jumped into Shane’s arms, giving her a quick peck on the lips and then pulling back

" Heyy, what’s up, what are you doing here ? ", Shane asked

" What, don’t you like me being here ?! ", Carmen teased, putting her hands on her hips

" NO, I mean — I uhh … — ", Shane stuttered

" Shane, babe, it’s fine, I’m only joking ", Carmen laughed as she rubbed Shane’s arm affectionately

Shane threw a confused look and Carmen chuckled again, " I’m here because Jenny and I have to work on some new cheers ", Carmen told her

" Ohhh …. wait, isn’t basketball season over ? ", Shane questioned

" Yes, but you see … Tennessee told me that I’m going to need to work to keep my skills sharp, they don’t want a watered-down cheerleader for their universities amazing sports program ", Carmen said, breaking the news

" WHAT ?! You’re going to Tennessee ! ", Shane said shocked but happy

" Yes … with you ", Carmen said smiling

" OMG, this, this … This is great ! You’re going to go with me ! ", Shane told her excitidly

" Yes, and I’m going to be right there on the sidelines cheering you on ", Carmen said seriously

" …. I love you …. ", Shane declared as she wrapped her arms securely around Carmen’s waist. Their was no space between them ; Carmen then placed her hands on both of Shane’s shoulders and her head on her left shoulder. 

" I love you more … ", Carmen toyed

" No way ! ", Shane said ; not giving in. Then she pulled away a little and kissed Carmen lightly on the nose.

" Oh, I was just going to ask you, would you maybe like to go on a date tonight ? ", Shane asked

" Hmm, well, let me check my schedule, maybe I could squeeze you in ", Carmen teased again

Shane gave a puppy dog pout and Carmen giggled, " Of course I’ll go on a date with you tonight ! How can I resist when you put on that adorable face "
