Dana drove towards her house happily singing along with song played on the radio.

Dana was interrupted by her cell phone. She looked at the caller id and smiled.

“Hey Shane what’s up?”

“Hi Dane where you now? Are you up for a drink? Bette and I will be going to Milk in thirty minutes.”

 Dana glanced at her watch. Alice won’t be home in two hours time.

“Well I am on my way back from the office but I guess I could join you guys for a while. See you there.”

“Good see you Dane.”

At Milk

“Wow slow down Bette you’re gonna choke to death.” Dana said as Bette stuffed the potato chips in her mouth like there was no tomorrow. Shane sneered at her friend.

“Hey I don’t get to eat this often Tina won’t allow it in the house.” Bette protested.

“Seriously Bette why do you let her control over your consumption of the food you love? Just talk to her.”Shane said.

“I can’t.” Bette said. Both her friends looked at her as if she had grown three heads. This was not the Bette they knew since college. They wonder what had her changed so much.

“Tina hates it. She said she feels nauseous when she smells the thing.” Bette chuckled and shook her head thinking of how ridiculous it sounded but it was the truth.

“It’s ok Bette we understand.”Dana said. She really meant it Alice had this strange behavior towards organic food too she would cringe whenever she saw one in the fridge. That had Dana destroyed all of them thank god now her house was organic food proof and Alice was living happily in it. Dana wiped an imaginary sweat away from her forehead.

Shane eyes opened wide finally realized why Carmen’s mood swung like no body business when Shane brought back salted fish for dinner she actually hates salted fish! Shane quickly filed it in her memory she swore not to repeat the mistakes again and followed Bette footsteps to eat it outside not in the house.
