Love never goes out of style- chapter two
Tina pointed to the huge mound of sand that was somewhat shaped like a box or something like that.
Always being ones to encourage the creativity in art in children James and Ann in unison say: Yes it is!
The two adults laugh.
Ann: Well James I’ll see you tomorrow for work at nine sharp. Again thanks for showing me the way here.
Ann offers her hand for James to shake it
James was shocked he wasn’t sure if what he had just heard was actually real.
He quickly takes her hand and shakes it firmly.
James: You won’t regret your decision Mrs. Porter.. err Ann. Sorry. I’ll even be at the gallery at 845! I promise!
Anne chuckles.
Ann: Well since you helped me out in finding this place… How about some ice cream girls? My treat.
Ann looks down at the two girls who are now both wearing huge smiles.
Bette and Tina: Yay!!!!
Bette and Ann arrive home after they had gone out shopping. Ann was putting away groceries she had picked up along the way home.
Bette in her pink cartoon pajamas padded over to her mother’s bed and climbed into the bed with a book in her arms.
Bette: Mommy will you read me a story please?
Ann: Of course sweetie. What have we got there?
Bette smiled shyly, pushing the “Monkeys go on strike” children’s book to her mother.
Ann furrowed her brows. She didn’t remember buying this for her.
Ann: Sweetie where’d you get this from? I don’t remember getting this for you.
Bette: Tina said James always reads this to her before bed. She had two copies so she let me have one.
Bette smiled widely. It had been a major move for her from New York to Los Angeles. She didn’t like that she had to make new friends again. She had made lots of friends in preschool in NY and she was wary about making new ones. But everything seemed okay because Tina was in the same class as her and they always played together.
Ann: Tina? I’m glad you guys are friends.
She smiled.
Ann: So you guys get along alright? What about Shane is she your friend too?
