“I am never going to cause you to suffer like that again, baby,” Tina promised, fervently. “No more…” she repeated. 

“I know,” Bette responded, pulling Tina’s hand to her lips, kissing Tina’s fingers, “We’re one now,” she continued, looking deeply into the hazel eyes, “in our love, in our souls…” 

“From that hell we just left….to the heaven we’re now in.  Together always,” Tina added, smiling as she gently stroked her wife’s cheeks. 

“I’m sorry I gave you a hard time about coming here,” she whispered.  “You were right to keep this part of the honeymoon, baby.” 

Bette smiled, tweaking her nose, “I told you, no sorries, T!” 

Dani coughed discretely, “Bette if you’d like we can head over to your villa now.” 

Bette turned to him, “So sorry, Dani.  We were just overcome…” 

Dani smiled, waving her apologies off.  “We’ve billeted you in the villa that’s two villas down from the one you were at the last time.” 

“Oh…that’s a really nice one, Dani.  Very private,” Bette exclaimed. 

“Yes…it’s our honeymoon suite,” he smiled, then coughed drily. 

“Mmm…perfect,” Tina responded, winking at Bette, while bringing her wife’s hand to her lips, kissing those fingers tenderly also.  She felt bad about giving Bette somewhat of a hard time about coming over.  She really should have guessed that this would have meant something to the brunette, given that she’d known already from Shane, and from Bette herself, later on, that this is where Bette had retreated to, to recover from her physical ordeal a year and a half ago.
 

Dani nodded, “Ok. Good.  Bette if you’d like, you and Tina can slowly make your way there. There are not many guests in the resort right now, and during much of your stay, actually.  So this will really be like your own private island, especially at night.  During the day, we may get some drop in visitors, so you may see more people milling about, but at night there will be very few.  And in your side of the island, there won’t be other guests in that entire section.” 

Bette smiled her thanks, as Dani mentioned he was going to have the door of their villa opened for them. He and Bette exchanged glances, and he nodded his head.  All the preparations that she’d asked for in her email to him had been attended to, so everything would be ready by the time they got to the villa.
