Love Soul Heaven Hell – Chaper V
They all exchanged glances as they realized that it would be difficult for the women to disembark without loosening the space of the cabin a bit more. Bette said she and Tina could help him unload some of the boxes, and hand these to him one-by-one, given the tight fit in the cabin. There wouldn’t be room for other people to get in to help him unload, she pointed out. As the cabin grew roomier, the couple disembarked, to allow the staff that had rushed to greet the plane get in, and take their places and help unload the other boxes.
As they stood on the dock, Tina was still exclaiming about the beauty of the oceanscape they had flown over, and was insisting on tipping him, even as he was politely refusing it. Meanwhile, Bette was showing him shots that she had taken when he had dipped the plane to enable her to shoot some unusual angles from overhead, of scenes of the ocean and the atolls dotting it. “Gorgeous,” he agreed, as he complimented her skill. Bette was mentioning she would email him a few of the shots, particularly those that he had pointed out never having seen other shots of, so that he could also have copies of them. He told her the hotel would know how to reach him, as he waved at them, while unhooking the plane from the dock. Nice couple, he thought. Sexy, too.
“This is gorgeous, baby!,” Tina exclaimed, twirling around on the covered portion of the dock they walked to after disembarking from the seaplane, sipping champagne they’d been handed by the friendly staff who had come to welcome them.
A man walked up to them, and greeted them warmly, “Hello, I am Dani. Let me show you around your island.” He explained he was the resort manager, and ushered them to the wooden boardwalk that linked the dock both to the main island of the resort as well as to the other island that the resort had expanded to. He was explaining that the other island housed other villas, a beachside bar, and the resort’s formal dining restaurant.
“But this is a barefoot resort, Tina,” he added. “Which means you can go barefoot everywhere you want to go…even to the formal dining restaurant. Gets you more in tune with nature, and I assure you everything will feel good under your feet.” He smiled as the blonde’s brows shot up.
