    Placing her hands on Shane’s shoulders Tina said, “I see both you and Alice went a little overboard with the tequila last night. How are you feeling?”

     

    “Lets just say that “going overboard” is an understatement Tina,” Shane sighed.  “I haven’t felt this bad in a very long time and damn it that time was with Alice too!”

     

    “Hey Shane there are some burgers in the fridge if you want one,” Bette said as she tried to control the wicked grin on her face.

     

    “UGH! I think I’ll just have to pass,” Shane said as she put her hand up in front of her mouth.

     

    “I must say though that’s a very attractive green Christmas like color you’ve just turned,” Tina giggled as she walked by Shane.

     

    “I’m sick as shit,” Shane said.  “Never, ever… no tequila again.”

     

    Bette began to laugh and said, “The really bad thing about tequila is that you’ll feel this way for a couple of days at least.”

     

    “Thank you so much for the reminder.  You have no idea how much I appreciate your insight,” mumbled Shane.

     

    “Guys I’m going to go and rest for awhile,” Tina said as she turned toward the hallway.  “I feel a lot better but I still get really tired pretty quickly.”  She hesitated as she nervously waited to see if Bette was going to offer to lie down with her.  Hearing nothing, she fought the urge to ask Bette to come with her and headed to the bedroom.

     

    “O.k. Shane I know that you’re sick and I’m sure Alice will be too when she gets up but I need major help from both of you.  I’ll owe you big time,” Bette said as she began to fill Shane in on her plans for the evening.  “All of this has to happen at 7p.m.“

     

    Tina lay staring at the beautiful Christmas tree that Bette had painstakingly decorated for her bedroom.  She tried to fight back her tears but they began to fall freely.  “This is our anniversary,” she thought.  Thinking back to the way that Bette had gently kissed the scar on her stomach she became overwhelmed with troubling thoughts.  “If Bette had gone to Candace because she stopped finding me attractive, then God what will she think now?”  She thought of all the times that she and Bette made love and imagined Bette’s head resting against her stomach.  She would rest like this and kiss her stomach and rub her hands across her well defined gentle curves.  Reaching down Tina lifted her shirt and looked down at the effects that carrying a child had on her body.  As she lightly traced the scar of her c-section, she cried harder.

    3. Bette, ever the romantic. She loves Tina so very much and I wonder what will it take for Tina to realize just how much she loves her. I know Tina has been hurt but she really needs to get over her insecurities and let Bette love her and the baby, and try to make amends. It will take a long time but she must let it happen. Thanks for a very lovely post.

    6. OK, Alica and Shane have remarkable powers of recuperation and they can get as trashed as they want to as far as I’m concerned. I’d be in the hospital after that, but that’s a different story. Maybe it has something to do with the power of friendship, an offshoot of the power of love, and we all know what that can do.

    7. Thank you for allowing Bette another chance with the love of her life. IC has no clue how to handle their love. Maybe you can turn down the sound and put your own words into the show. At least you get to see them. (I do not have Showtime so I have to rely on you guys)

    8. Bette is very romantic. She’s trying to woo Tina again and she knows this is her second and last chance at getting Tina back. Tina has to find it in her heart to let Bette back in and forgive her. Tina also has to tell Bette about her anger and her insecurities, because Tina’s assumptions of how Bette is is totally unfair to Bette. Please continue.

    9. i am so happy this morning as i can read your chapter on my way to work. you rock my day! Tibette are so much in love, there shouldn’t be anything or anyone able to tear them apart again.
