Lucky – Chapter 6
The following morning Bette begins her daily ritual, the alarm goes off, she snoozes, she does her yoga, puts on the coffee, has her shower, puts on the clothes that she laid out the night before, does her hair/makeup, and then sits for 20 minutes with her breakfast and newspaper. Her morning ritual very much reflected the persona of Bette: Organised, elegant, under control. Three traits that unfortunately Tina could not put a claim to.
Bette had just begun to catch up on current affairs, coffee in hand, when the door of Tina’s room flew open. A half dressed blonde emerging, shoes in hand, one arm through her jacket, hopping towards her. "Shit, I’m so going to miss the bus". Tina sits down at the table, struggling with her shoes.

"
Good morning" Bette says fascinated by the sight before her. Tina is too panicked to process what the calm and collected brunette has said. "Coffee?" Bette offers.

"Ummm" Tina obviously wants some but is far too busy checking if she had all her possessions on her, her eyes dart to the cafetiere and across to where the mugs are, and back to the milk. ‘Far too much effort’ she thinks. "No I’m fine thanks".

Bette rolls her eyes, going to grab Tina a mug, pouring some coffee, and putting in a bit of milk. Tina is finally ready, she looks up to see Bette standing in front of her, passing her a mug. "Oh thank you!" she says taking the mug and quickly drinking the coffee.

‘Oh my god, she’s going to be buzzing from drinking that so quickly’ Bette thinks. "All done?" Bette reaches out, Tina hands her back the mug.

"Bus! Thank you! I’m gonna be so late, see you later" as she makes a dash for the door.

"See you la- " As the door slams. Bette walks to the window seeing the blonde dart across the road, the bus just pulling up. She sees her dive onto the bus, as it then begins to pull away. "What the hell just happened?" Bette says to herself, shaking her head and looking down at an empty mug in her hand. She sits back at the breakfast bar and tries to get back into the newspaper, but the crazy blonde was once again occupying her mind.

Loving the story, like the way Bette is taking charge in the morning very funny
WHOOHOO I’M FIRST!! =)) Anyhoo, you’re forgiven for not posting on Thursday.. hahaha, Bette is funny in this one!! She’s like Tina’s mom, whoops! =D Hope Tina is appreciative! =)) You have to post ASAP, I’m seriously addicted to this story! Thanks and PPVS!
Wonder if Tina will ever find this funny. First, she was sent to bed, now awakened bright and early. Maybe when she doesn’t have to run to catch the bus, it will be more appreciated. Can’t say that I blame her, I am not a morning person either. Always had to be at work by 8 am and hated every minute of it. Being anywhere by 8am is just insulting. Night person, I am. Really like this story. PPVS
I love it! I’m so like Tina in a morning!!
I loved how Tina realized she was sent to bed and still went with it.. LOL
Bette is toying w/Tina and she’s loving it! But not understanding why.
OMG they are so cute and sweet and funny, love them!
Lol, sorry I’m a Londoner. I guess you don’t say these in America? “Spag bol” is the lazy version of “Spaghetti bolognese”. And ummm, “Sod it” pretty much means “to hell with”, which I think you say?!
I just read the six chapters, love it. I need a little translating :) I didn’t understand this part. Must be the slang. “Hey roomy – ha you can’t do anything from there! ;o) Do you like spag bol? T” Bette texts back, ‘Is this too flirty?’ she thinks, ‘Oh sod it’, send. ” What’s ‘spag bol’ and ‘sod it’? never heard those two terms before.
