The next morning, Bette woke up beside Alice. She yawned softly and stared at Alice, whose eyes were beginning to open.
“Any regrets?” Bette asked.
“I’ve never had any regrets when it comes to you, Bette.” Alice pecked Bette on the lips, “I’m going back to sleep.”
Bette ran her fingers through Alice’s hair and kissed her on the forehead. She snaked her naked body from around Alice and out of the bed.
She slid into the clothes she wore the night before. She moved toward the kitchen. She was hungry.
Helena was sitting at the table, drinking her coffee. Though she wasn’t a regular coffee drinker, she had very little sleep the night before.
Flashes of Bette’s naked physique ran through Helena’s mind the whole night. The noises she was able to illicit from Alice were more than intriguing. She felt more than strange about feeling this way, but she wondered if Bette could make her do the same thing.
Bette’s frame became more apparent to her as she approached the kitchen. Though she didn’t want to think of Bette the way she was, she couldn’t help but think of Bette without clothes.
As Bette passed, a hint of her perfume mixed with the light scent of sex.
“So, you’re just going to fuck her, and leave her?” Helena asked.
“What?”
“You’re going to break her heart again.”
“Alice knows what’s going on. And I don’t know why you even care? Do you thing for Alice? Because, if you do, then I’m sorry. I didn’t know and I don’t want to interfere.”
“I do not have a thing for Alice. I just don’t want to see her heart because she fell in love with someone who doesn’t care about her.”
Helena hid her growing attraction to Bette by being mean to her.
“I do care about her. She is my best friend and I love her. I don’t know where your,” Bette took a pause, “your anger come from. Talk to Alice. She’ll tell you what’s up.”
Helena watched Bette out the door.
Alice walked out of her bedroom and into the kitchen. She had a bad case of bed head and gigantic smile on her face.

I’m starting to think that Helena and I are the only ones who can see that Alice is still in love with Bette. Bette supposedly cares and love Alice but she can’t see in Alice’s eyes that their so call just sexual encounters are more. When Alice says that she and Bette are better off as friends who is she trying to convince herself or others? It’s obvious that Alice wants more and their hook-ups are a way for her to hold on. Helena is right to be concerned for Alice. Bette doesn’t want to hear what Helena has to say regarding her and Alice because she knows Helena is right and doesn’t want to give Helena the satisfaction….some friend she is only thinking of her own ego. At this point Bette is coming off as a conceited bitch. Helena should not only pack up her stuff and find her own place but she shouldn’t go to Peggy’s lame ass fundraiser just so her mother can insult her for Bette’s amusement.
Ash I was surprised to see a new chapter up and liked it very much. Both al and better were honest that they didnt mesh as a couple but would always love one another in a special way, as I think. Helena was not sure what to think about both of them and then just Bette alone, but I have an idea we will soon find out at the party right Ash ;)
thanks for posting ash – really enjoying this one and i for one am not weirded out by the bette/alice relationship but quite intrigued by it, no-one really seems to write about that and alice to me always seemed to be a little bitter about it so you keep going with it, im interested to see how it plays out, pps!!
Great update Ash. I wonder if Bette & Helena ever stand a chance as Peggy goes on to amost humiliate her daughter regarding to Bette. I don’t understand her a parent is supposed to love his/her children even when they’re ugly, dumb or what other bad quality they have. And IO Helena is none of those so why does Peggy not open her eyes and heart for the smart and gorgeous woman her daughter is.
Hello My Beautiful Ash… your words… your creative energy is so vibrant… I love how truly energetic you are within your creations… this story is so much fun… why shouldn’t Bette and Alice get together on occasion, I mean they are both single, they both understand one another(s) needs, they are not lying or hiding anything… if anything this should teach Helena not to be such a coward and go for it… I mean worst thing that can happen is ‘no’ but then she wouldn’t have to be all sulky lol… you kick serious ass my friend… Love and Hugs, JC

i think you did an awesome job with writing the conversation between helena and bette. it’s like typical helena and bette being mean to each other like the earlier seasons. haha. well, can’t wait to read the next chapter!
