    Meditiations of Life Part 2

Bette laughed, enjoying the the moment of joy.  There was something honest and pure about making Angelica laugh, that she couldn’t find anywhere else in the word, and when they played – she never felt more free and joyful.

Puckering her lips, Bette dived in for another kiss.  “I” kiss, “love” kiss, “you”, kiss.  Caught up in the moment, in the rapture, Bette didn’t notice Tina come up behind her until she felt her arms wrap tightly around her waist.

“Is Mama B kissin’ my baby girl?”  Tina asked the laughing child.

Angie listed her head from where she had is buried, on Bette’s shoulder.  Her normally frizzy hair is wild, like the laughter that graced her face.  “Make her stop Mummy.”  She begged, screeching with laughter, when Bette kissed her again.  “Help Mummy.”

Tina grinned, enjoying the moment.  “Mmmm Bette,”  Tina whispered, knowing that the tone of her voice had a habit of sometimes disarming the woman.  She waited for the right moment.

    A smile.

A twinkle in the eye and a look of want.

She pounced, licking the unsuspecting woman from chin to eye.

“Yay Mummy!!!”  Angelica cheered, clapping her hands.

Tina laughed.  There was a simple, pure happiness in these moments that couldn’t be erased by the darkness that existed down stairs.  Maybe she couldn’t give Bette the time she needed, or the sleep she needed to get collect herself, but she could help to give her laughter.  To help her daughter remind of life.

Tina sighed, and was about to remind Bette they had to go downstairs when Kit came to the door.  She looked uncomfortable, like she wasn’t sure she would be welcomed.  Tine opened her mouth, and before she could speak Kit jumped in.

“Baby girls, they need you downstairs.”  Kit addressed both of them, but she was talking to Bette.  She knew that tonight she had hurt her sister, but there were somethings that just couldn’t lie.  She only wished her sister could be honest with her.

She was afraid for Bette and Tina.  Afraid herself if Bette was telling to truth.

Bette turned to face her, Angie still happily bouncing in her mothers arms.  “Okay,”  Bette whispered before turning her back to Kit.  “We’ll be down soon.”

    1. just got caught up with both chapters. there is really something about a child’s innocence that grounds us and it was wonderful to see that in this chapter. love how tina is so patient and loving. PPS!

    2. Hiya Deean! Excellent story you have started here. Can I tell you how much I LOVE the way you are writing Tina? Okay, well…I’ll say it. “I LOVE THE WAY YOU ARE WRITING TINA!” LOL. Also, when it comes to kids, they just rock my world. So innocent, perceptive, and gosh I just feel we can learn so much from them, more than adults sometimes. PPS!

    3. If Kit would just back off and leave them alone before she says something everyone will regret. Kit should know better than anyone when Bette is being honest, she doesn’t usually lie to Kit and Kit knows this. NO ONE KILLED JENNY, at least Bette didn’t, if anyone did it was Nicki. Not any of the regular cast members. Jenny probably fell off that balcony where the tape was. Probably reached for it and fell off after instantly recognizing that there was no railing. Angie was good for Bette at this time and she really seemed to be pulled back from the brink when interacting with Angie. Kit needs to back off and leave her to Tina and Angie.

    4. such a magical story you are weaving! So much better than how it really played out.. thank you for writing between the lines! It always blew me away that Kit didn’t believe Bette. Shouldn’t a sister give her sibling the benefit of the doubt? I never understood that and after all of the things Kit has seemingly put Bette through in their life times shouldn’t Kit be just a bit more compassionate? Interesting… I love the Porter-Kennard family unit so full of love and the way you’ve written Tina not only reflects the Tina that we are familiar with from the show but one that has more depth of understanding her true nurturing side is really coming out and it’s beautiful to watch unfold! PPS : )

    5. I really hate that Kit seemed to not believe Bette and instantly believe she cheated on Tina! I love this story and the way you’re writing it. PPS

    6. Throughout the series, when Bette cheated she acknowledged that it had taken place. She never lied or hid that fact. I believe that she was cleaning up the mess that Kelly had produced when the pictures were snapped. Now with ic there is no telling, but Bette’s past behavior showed her to be honest. I love how Tina is slowly allowing Bette to come back to the present time.

    7. Did Bette throw Jenny into the pool???? or she just feel guilty that her last interaction with Jenny was an argument??? Kit needs to chill and get out of Tina’s face. Curious.PPS

    8. If Kit would think it through she would know that Bette never lied to her. Even when Bette cheated on Tina she did not lie. What makes her think she would lie when there is “prove”?

    9. Hi, dear sweet Deean! Indeed there was wisdom in your appreciation of children. They are a miracle and a joy to have in your life. We were blessed with our nephews. They always bring a smile to our faces and they show their love for us through their bear hugs or by saying the right words to cheer us up, when everything around us seems to fall apart. Angie has represented Bette’s dream come true. She cherishes her with all her heart. At this particular time of need, Bette will realize that she still has a loving family that she has to fight for. That thought will sink in and will give her the necessary courage to face the world. We were moved by Tina’s concern. She is really showing Bette that she is behind her 100%. As for Kit, we think she better cool off and step out, if she’s only bringing discomfort to her sister. Thanks for this magnificent update, dear friend. PPS Hugs & kisses on both your cheeks.- Lucero & Marsha (Proud Salsa Aunties to the ever loving JC and Eunichick and Tias Adoradas to Patpez)
