The next morning I was up early and out on the practice courts and in the gym. I worked my ass off because I was desperate to get back to Alice, who I had left sleeping, so that we could go out. Eventually, at about three o’clock, I got back to our room, excited about seeing London. I found Alice working on her laptop working again and felt guilty about leaving her so much, so that she got so bored she actually did work. I saw that Alice had wrapped herself up in several layers, despite the fact that it was actually summer.

“Al, its summer. This may be England but it’s not that cold” I chuckled and greeted her with a kiss.

“Yeah I know but it still feels goddamn freezing. How did your training go?”

“It went well, I should be ready for my game tomorrow afternoon. I’m just going to get changed and we’re off okay?” Alice nodded and I picked out my outfit for the afternoon.

“Oh and Al, you might want to turn down to air conditioning.” I turned to look at Alice and poked my tongue out.

Half an hour later and we were being dropped off in the centre of London, after Al had shed many of her layers in the car, leaving her with a tight vest top and three-quarter length trousers. She was also wearing her huge sunglasses, which I love on her. As we stepped out onto the curb I was shocked at how many people there were around, rushing up and down the street, many in suits and carrying briefcases.

I was hoping that I wouldn’t be recognized by many people, I had my sunglasses and a baseball cap on in hope that it would be easier to hide my face. I got out first and held out my hand to help Alice out, then we were off to the London Eye first. Alice had informed me in the car that she hadn’t actually been doing work all morning; she had already planned out our afternoon and booked tickets for us at several of the attractions in the capital.

When we got to the Eye we luckily didn’t have to wait too long and were soon standing in one of the large capsules. It travelled really slowly so Alice soon got bored, deciding to try and make out with me instead. She stood behind me and put her arms around me, planting kisses on my neck. I was a bit more interested in the view, which stretched for miles. I pointed out all the major things to Alice- Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Globe Theatre. In the end, I gave up pointing them out as I only received grunts from Alice as she continued to snuggle up to me. As we neared the end of the journey I gave up and turned around to pull her into a proper kiss, opening my mouth to suck on her tongue. I could see out of the corner of my eye that we were getting a few looks from the other people in the capsule, but I didn’t care.
