“Oh…um…what?” was Bette’s only response as she stood there with eyes closed.

Tina chuckled to herself as she turned to walk away leaving Bette just standing there. “You’re right babe, all your idea” Tina laughed.

“Hey, hang on” Bette said finally coming to her senses. She grabbed Tina’s arm and pulled her back into the embrace. “You can’t just stop there” Bette smiled as she leant down and kissed Tina again.

Suddenly their moment was interrupted when Alice and Dana came into the room.

“HEY! Get a room!” Alice yelled as she walked into a room.

“Grrr…well if you hurry up and pack the truck, then we would have a room, wouldn’t we?” Bette smiled politely through clenched teeth. She would be lying if she were to say she was fine with their little interruption.

“If you must know, I’m done packing, just waiting for you horny-teenager-look-alikes to get your butts out the door” Alice said as she rolled her eyes.

“Oh hardy har har” Bette retaliated.

“Ok guys, can we please just get along” Dana said holding up her hands between the two.

“Oh shut up Dana” both ladies said giving Dana dirty look.

“Hey what did I do?” Dana said in her meek voice as she sulked towards Tina.

“Oh nothing kiddo” Tina chuckled wrapping her arm around Dana’s shoulder in a comforting embrace.

Tina couldn’t help but smile as she watch the interaction between the old friends. She had to admit, she was a little intimidated by the thought of Alice when she and Bette first started dating.  However, after their first meeting, she knew she had nothing to worry about. She remembers as if it were yesterday….

“Hi Alice, this is Tina” Bette said gesturing between the two strangers as she rested her hand reassuringly on the small of Tina’s back. They had only been dating for a month and Tina had finally convinced Bette to take her to one of her regular hangouts even though she was unbearably nervous about meeting her friends.

“Hello Alice, nice to finally meet you” Tina said with a smile that was hiding the uneasiness in her heart.

“Ah it’s great to finally meet you” Alice said throwing her arms around Tina’s neck and pulling her into an embrace. “I’ve heard so much about you!”

“You have?” Tina replied slightly surprised by Alice and hesitantly patted Alice on her back.

“Are you kidding?” Alice asked leaning back from the embrace “Bette talks about you constantly!”

“She does?” Tina asked with a smile slowly creeping across her face as she looked from Alice to Bette and then back to Alice.

“Oh nonstop! Tina this, Tina that, Tina has completely captured my heart blah blah blah” Alice laughed.

“Oh really?” Tina replied looking back at Bette who was now turning the most beautiful shade of red.

“Ok, so we’re done with introductions, moving on” Bette said quickly as she guided Tina towards an empty table and away from Alice. “Alice, don’t you have better things to do?”

“Me? No!” Alice said with a wave of her hand.

“Oh good, please join us then!” Tina gestured towards an empty chair.

Bette could only roll her eyes as she watched her new girlfriend and her dearest friend exchange what were to be very very embarrassing stories.

Tina chuckled to herself as she thought back to the way Bette squirmed all night long, terrified that Alice would spill some juicy details.

“Hey what’s so funny babe?” Bette asked softly as she walked up beside Tina.

“Oh nothing” Tina smiled as she leant up and gave Bette a quick peck on the cheek.

“Ok….if you say so” Bette smiled.

“I do say so” Tina smiled back before taking the last box out to the van.

    1. This was such a great treat, Kanaf ! I completely agree with Lament : playful and mischievous B & T are just great. I love this side of them so much. They’re super cute. Now, I think you owe us the story of that shirt, K. I’m sure it has one since it obviously holds sentimental value to Tina. I’m afraid you’re going to have to keep writing this story if you don’t want your fans to harrass you with thousands of PMs. LOL ! You do know we’ll never let you stop writing, don’t you ?… Face it, you are stuck with us now. ( wink )Ok, I’m just kidding of course, what really matters is that you enjoy yourself when you write, therefore you should write whatever makes you happy and don’t listen to us ( we, readers, are rather selfish, you know… ). Besides, your style is naturally so pleasant and refreshing and beautiful, and unique… you would never disappoint us, no matter what you decided to write. Trust me. Thanks again for sharing this very sweet story with us, K.
