Please, Stop This Torture

Sunday…

“Come on, Bette! Please?” Tina begs me and I sigh.

“Tina, I don’t want to go to some stupid club with your boyfriend and his friends. It’s not legal. We are too young.” I tell her and she groans irritated. Tina’s parents aren’t home tonight and she wants to go to a club with Josh… But not alone.

“Just come with me. Maybe you’ll meet someone, who knows?” She says and I chuckle.

“Yeah, in a straight club I’ll totally find someone.” I tell her, rolling my eyes.

She steps closer to me and pouts. Adorable. “Please, come with me. I don’t really like his friends and it would be so much fun to hang out with my best friend and my boyfriend at the same time. Please, Bee.”

“Okay, but only because I love you.” I say and she grins.

“Yeey!” She yells and does her ‘happy dance’.

I laugh at that.

We will meet Josh and his friends at the club. He doesn’t even pick her up. Asshole. She is talking and talking and talking… constantly about Josh. Ugh, save me. This is just torture. She is driving her car and I concentrate on her body, not listening to what she is saying because I’ve heard it all before. More than 100 times. Her hot pink dress is hugging her body at the right places. The lip gloss makes her lips look amazing. She is wearing silver jewelry and her hair is loose. She is wearing high heels which make her legs seem endless. I am wearing tight fitting jeans with a white shirt and a tie. Off course, Tina had to tease me, saying I looked like ‘a real dyke’. She didn’t mean it in a bad way, just so you know. We just tease each other constantly.

She stops the car and we get out. It’s very crowded; we manage to get in easily. I see Josh Baker, Henry Young and Eric Pratt standing at the bar. I see that Josh is flirting with a girl and I begin to talk to Tina, trying to get her attention away from Josh. Even though I want her to know that he is a prick, I don’t want her to get hurt. When I see the girl walks away, obviously thinking he was not her type, I let Tina walk over to him. I go over to the other guys while Tina and Josh are kissing like there is no tomorrow. My heart is bleeding but I manage to hide it.
