Naive Perception of Perfect Chapter 7
Tinas eyes were still red from crying but she knew she needed to talk to Bette. She wanted to scream at her. But mostly she wanted to run to her. Bette was the only person she had to comfort her for the past 7 years and that was what she was used to. She sighed deeply and dialed the once familiar number.
Bette: Hello? Tina?
Tina: ( Silence)
Bette: Is that you Tee? Please say something. (Her voice was wavering and tears were spilling already. Just the thought of Tina sent shivers down Bettes spine).
Tina: Its me Bette.
Bette: Thank God. ( Bette was so relieved Tina said something).
Tina: Im not sure why Im calling you Bette. You have betrayed me like no one else has.
Bette: I know baby, I know. But I want to make this right. Tell me how!
Tina: I dont know that you can. I mean Bette, you slept with someone else. God only knows how many times.
Bette: I know baby, I know.
Bette and Tina were both hysterical at this point.
Tina spoke first.
Tina: Who else Bette?
Bette: What do you mean?
Tina: Was there anyone else I should know about. I would rather hear it from you then find out later. You know how tight the ***** community is and I would inevitably find out.
Bette: Oh god, Tee, no one. No one else. Candace was nothing. I used her as a stand in for you baby. It was wrong and Im sure you will never ever forgive me, but its the truth! No one means anything to me except you baby. Its always been you Tee.
Tina: God Bette, I wish I could believe that. But I just cant.
Bette: Please Tee, I need you to remember. Remember how much we love each other. Everything we have been through together. All the love we have shared. All the tears. Remember the first time I touched you. How that made you feel. That night at my gallery. When I kissed you. Dont you remember that spark? I remember it Tee. I remember everything. I remember the perfume you wore on our first date. I remember the color eyeliner you wore at our wedding. I remember what it felt like that first night we spent together. The way you kept your eyes on me the whole time. The way your skin got little goose bumps right before you came. I remember the way you tasted that night. Please Tee, God, this is so painful! Please remember.
There was silence on the other end for a long time. All Tina could hear was Bette crying.
Tina: Bette I want a divorce.
Tina hung up the phone.
Bette collapsed to the ground and cried uncontrollably.

No, no divorce. great story.
“No, no divorce.” < Yeah, that.
No way…no divorce. What the hell…I know she is hurting but give it time. True love wins out in the end.
Well,That was a low blow. How will Bette handle this, not very well. Does Tina have some one else? In love with someone. Damn don’t let it be Candance.
