‘Thanks Tina. Good luck in your career too. You’ll be running the place in no time.’
‘Ha, we’ll see.’
‘I believe in you..’ He extended his hand. ‘I Look forward to seeing more of your work.’
She extended her own hand and shook his.
‘Thanks, bye Max.’
‘Goodbye…’
As he turned away, Helena walked up to Tina.
‘I can’t believe he’s showed his face. What did he want?’
Tina shrugged.
‘Guilty conscience I guess. He’s resigned. Can’t handle the pressure.’
‘Meh, good riddance to him. Move asside Max because here comes Tina Kennard’ Helena replied, lifting up Tina’s arm.
Tina giggled, wriggling free of her friends grip.
‘First thing’s first Helena…’
‘Almost time….how are you feeling?’
‘Sick, embarrassed, uncertain, dizzy….the list goes on. I keep worrying she won’t come. I don’t know what I’ll do…’
‘Hey now, stop thinking like that. Get yourself out there. The rest….is fate..’
Taking a deep breath, Tina turned around and bent down next to Shane.
‘Shane is the microphone there?’
Looking around, Shane retrieved the microphone from the floor.
‘Here, soak it all up sis!’
‘Wish me luck?’
‘You don’t need no luck Kennard!’ Jade said, coming up behind her.
‘Yea, Ms Porter would be crazy to not come..’ Abbey added.
‘I hope you’re right…’
‘Knock ‘em dead girl…’
Looking out at the court, Tina began her trek to center stage. As the crowds watched her, they began to cheer and chant her name.
‘Tina, Tina, Tina…’
Her heart began to thump, as she preyed she wouldn’t fall over her own feet. Hearing the crowds of people shout her name made her feel so unbelievably up-lifted.
*It’s time….please god….let her come..*
Reaching the middle of the court, she turned around and scanned the mounds of people looking at her. Never in her life time did she think something like this would happen to her.
Composing herself she turned the microphone on and lifted it to her mouth.
‘Could I have 5 minutes on the clock please…’
The big clock, above the score board came to life, and the 5 minutes began to count down…
Her eye’s continued to scan the crowds, most of which continued to chant her name. She couldn’t help but grin, loving the thought that they were all there for her. But she never forgot the reason she was there.

Waited to read this one as I knew it was the last chapter. Really, really good. I loved the end..with them six months later. If you do end up doing a sequal I think it will be absolutely awesome because B and T can be together..working together to try to find out who murdered Sophie since Bette would have inside information in the school. Or something like that. I hope we see something else from you soon.. whether its a sequal or something completely different.

Ummmm, that was the end, right? But you kind of left us hanging. I love that Bette and Tina are together and are going to move in together but now we have a murder mystery. Get back to us soon, please.

OH MAN!!! What a way to end a story! I thought that Jenny would be the one dying at the end though! LOL! Jenny is the epitome of evil…maybe she killed Sophie!?! Loved this story K and I hope you are able to start posting that sequel soon! Thank you so much for such a wonderful story!

OMG! LOVE IT!! You have done an excellent job of writing this beautiful story, Bette and Tina fit so perfectly into the idea that it makes me wish to see it on my video screen as your story unfolds. You have got brilliant talent to make me as the reader to feel as if i am right in the middle of everything happening and keep me holding my breath anticipating the next scene. :) I am glad to hear that you are thinking of a sequel already! :) Love the Cliff hanger!! Wait, but this is a job for Loïs Lane ! Oops, I mean for the one and only Tina Kennard !!! This “grand finale” is very open indeed, Kelloggs !! And it explicitly points to a thriller sequel, huh, you little rascal ?! How dare you leave us hanging like that ? LOL !! OK, OK, you’re the boss here, you call all the shots. Anyway, so Sophie Stewart was murdered, huh ? I’ll tell you something, as ( coughing ) Special Agent Clarice Starling ( coughing ) I think I would be on Jenny Schecter’s trail. As Sophie’s cousin, I’m sure she knows something, or at least could lead to someone involved in this (shocking and) terrible event. I mean that girl must have made a few enemies for sure ( Kate and Jade are the first ones who come to mind ), but I don’t believe any of them would be crazy enough to go so far as to kill her… Unless they suffer from multiple Personality disorder and think they’re Norman Bates or something. LOL ! That being said, I’m glad they asked Tina to cover that ” story” ’cause I’ll confess I can’t picture her working for a tabloid . For some reason ( lol ! ), I view her as a much more respectable and decent journalist than that. How exciting !!! I can’t wait for the sequel, Kelloggs !! Now, since you did an absolutely WONDERFUL job at “adapting” Raja Gosnell’s movie ( can I say that I hadn’t even liked that flick all that much, but YOU made it memorable ), I hope you do realize that we have even greater expectations ( if that’s possible ) for the story to come. Once again, thank you so much for sharing your tremendous talent with us.
You do NOT know how much trouble this story caused! Since it was the finale, I kept checking the internet on my mobile phone to see if you’d posted. I checked up until just after 10am while I was sat on a bus to go meet some friends. I spent the day with them and so didn’t check again until I was at the Salon. I got to about Page 4 and my phone DIED from all the over-activity. So I was stuck without a phone to meet up the people I was supposed to be seeing afterwards. Then I had to wait until NOW to get home and read the remainder of the story. But you knwo what? It was worth it :P Yes, I wanna kick your ass for making Tee wait.. But Bette’s arrival was brilliant “Where do you think you’re going..?” Classic :P And I can so see Porter saying it. I also wanna kick your ass for ending it.. but it’s been lovely and you’re lovely so I probably won’t. I look forward to the promised sequel which looks as though it’s going to shape up to be a Nancy Drew type thing. Pretty damn cool. Thanks for your help offering, but I wasn’t looking for anything specific.. just something that interests me enough. I wouldn’t follow it’s structure entirely, mainly just draw a concept from it. Hey K! I have to catch up with my comments, as I couldn’t do it before today, but being back on commenting on the finale is probably the best anyway… What can I say?… You blow me away!!! The whole drama leading up to this end was just brillant and absolutely perfect. You did an amazing job with the “fake” article. I had quite a lot of scenarios in my head, but I didn’t expect that, and it being so well done! Bravo!… Then the whole resolution was so great and so… intense! That last chapter and the whole countdown… Gosh! I was biting my nails like a freak and stopped breathing during the whole scene! You almost made me (probably all of us) believe that Bette wouldn’t show up… Well at least not at the gym, which would have been so aweful for Tina! Then, the little glimpse on Bette coming home was such a brillant and well-timed idea! You got us there… Of course, we figured that she’d probably see the article in time, but still… The tension was so palpable, at least in my flat!!! Anyway, I won’t analyse the whole chapter (I could, you know? I’ve gone through that exercise a lot lately with an accomplice… a certain agent something *cough*…), but I wanted to thank you so much, this has been one of my most favorite (award-winning, if you ask me) stories lately, and I’m gonna miss it until you come back with your sequel… And by the way, I hope this cliffy is not the premice of a big conspiracy to trap Bette into being suspected or something… Although that could be highly interesting. Tina on a mission and stopping at nothing to prove that her lover is being falsely accused… Anyway, you’ve more than proved that you’re in charge and doing the best job, so I blindly trust you to give us a fabulous and fervently-awaited sequel… Hopefully soon! Even though I knew how it would go in regards to Bette and Tina, and thank you for not trying to change that ending. I still loved this, having a hard time their in the middle cos my boss walked into the office.OMG. Sequel coming, wonder who killed Sophie, please don’t let it be one of our girls, maybe she pissed someone else off.
Well K, job well done. Even though I knew the basic premise of the story at the beginning because of the original movie, I still was surprised and enthralled by your version. Thanks so much for taking the time to create this for us and I hope that ending meant that there was much more to come!
Hey you… I’m late to read that story… spent the whole WE with my mother… yeah !!! You really are such a tease… giving us a GREAT happy ending, with quite a suspense… and now, leaving it with SUCH a new mystery to discover… I can’t wait for your next post… though, like Claricestarling, I can’t picture her as a “tabloid” reporter… to me, “tabloids” are garbage and scum… I am sure Tina is much better that THAT ;-) OK, now, don’t make us wait too long for the sequel… :-))
