No More Stranger in My Eyes

It is all still so familiar to me, sitting next to you, inhaling your scent, and yearning to hold your hand. Everything is so still when I am next to you, all I see is the beauty in your face, in your eyes, in your lips, the beauty in your presence Alice. I still can’t believe I am here with you, hearing your breath again, feeling my heart beat again, it’s all so amazing. You should know Alice, life without you, it’s nothing, nothing but an empty shell waiting to be filled by your warmth and your love and your everything.

I could tell that you knew I was watching you, but I didn’t care. I saw a small smile spread across your face, a knowing smile, it made me glad. Glad that you knew I could never take my eyes off of you, I didn’t want to speak and ruin the moment, I just watched you, and finally I heard you speak and make my heart jump, “ What are you thinking about Dane?”.

You glanced over at me and smiled, making me blush and smile looking downward into my lap, you reached over and touched my hand making my body warm once again, I looked up at your loving gaze, you deserved to hear it Alice, “ Everything Al”. the honking in the background silenced into the air, and all I could hear were our hearts beating as one. What I said is true Alice, you are my everything, and all I can do now is think of you. Your gaze was near and understanding, you knew what I meant and I loved that you knew. Your hand was still grazing mine lightly, it made all the air in my lungs escape my body. Your hands are so beautiful, so soft, and so gentle just like the rest of you. I looked into your eyes waiting for approval, and with no surprise, your eyes screamed that you were more than willing, so I took that as a sign and held your hand in mine.

I missed all of this Alice, missed holding your hand, driving away with you, and just being with you. You define my life, and all the moments we share, tell me that there is more. Alice, if I could show you how much I love you and have always loved you, I would show you what I see, a woman I would give my life to, a woman who makes me melt, a woman who makes me thank God every day and night for putting such beauty on this planet. Alice, you would see your eyes and how much love you hold in them. Every day I try to mirror your love but I can’t, you have so much, the only time I could ever show anyone that much love is when I look at you.
