Shane switched off all the lights in the kitchen and living room and made her way back to the porch, to get the glasses and the ashtray and to lock the door. When she opened the bedroom door, she saw Carmen sitting on the edge of the bed, still in her clothes. Carmen was staring at her with her head leaning to one side, as if she had waited for Shane to come so they could go to bed together. Shane approached the bed and stood in front of her. Carmen smiled up at her with a mischievous twinkle in her dark brown eyes. Shane playfully pushed Carmen back until she was spread out on the bed, her feet resting flat on the floor. Shane crawled on top of her and Carmen was still smiling warmly at her. Shane took Carmen’s arms by the wrists and placed them above her head on the pillow. She brushed her nose lightly against Carmen’s.

‘Hey,’ Carmen whispered. ‘Hey, sexy,’ Shane said smiling, giving her voice a slow and sultry lilt to it. Carmen looked into her eyes for a moment longer before untangling one arm. She cupped Shane’s neck and pulled her down for a kiss. Carmen parted her lips just slightly and Shane took the opportunity to deepen the kiss. Shane dragged her mouth away way too quickly for Carmen. Shane saw that Carmen still had her eyes closed and her lips slightly parted. Shane could feel something inside her melt at that moment, Carmen looked so cute and lovely, that it made her want to kiss her again. But Carmen opened her eyes just before Shane was planning to dip her head down again for another kiss. Carmen caught Shane looking at her and furrowed her brows. ‘What?’ she chuckled, ‘what is it?’

Shane shook her head. ‘Nothing,’ and she planted a kiss on Carmen’s chin, ‘You just looked so cute.’ Carmen smiled bashfully and could feel her cheeks coloring. But Shane didn’t pay attention to the faint blush on Carmen’s cheeks and tipped her head down instead, to place soft kisses along Carmen’s pretty jaw line. Carmen let out a soft whimper at Shane’s careful touches. She already felt herself being pulled into that place where nothing else mattered. Where only she and Shane existed and loved each other. That place she didn’t mind getting lost in.
