Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 55
“She wouldn’t let Helena run loose, Tina, don’t worry. I’ve spoken to Mrs. Peabody and she’s a very reasonable woman and a fair employer. Nobody is going to get fired without our approval or input and Helena is not your boss,” Aaron said with a smile and Tina sighed with relief.
“Thank God because I can’t stand that woman.”
“I didn’t realize you were acquainted with Helena Peabody? It’s hard to imagine that the two of you are running in the same circles.”
“She’s on a board of directors at the CAC where my girlfriend works…we’ve met,” Tina shrugged, thinking about several occasions when she ran into Helena, none brought happy memories.
“Well, I hope you won’t let your personal feelings interfere with your work, Tina,” Aaron commented. “And be careful. Helena is not the one calling the shots here but she still can be a powerful enemy.”
“No worries, I’ll be professional and cordial,” Tina nodded and returned to her office. She checked the paperwork that Jenny placed on her desk, called Bette that she was on her way, and was finally ready to go home. That was the best part of any weekday when after the hard day at work she could go home and relax in Bette’s company.
Tina and Bette’s House
As soon as Tina turned her engine off, she felt the calmness settling over her when she saw Bette waiting by the opened door, leaning causally on the doorframe with a glass of wine. Tina smiled at this picture perfect and hurried inside, giving Bette a quick kiss. “I hope you have another glass for me?”
“In the kitchen, baby. I could tell by your voice when you called from work that you had a pretty stressful day…” Bette smiled at her lover and followed her into the kitchen.
“Thanks, babe…it was pretty stressful,” Tina took a sip of wine and sighed with content. “And it’s barely Monday.”
“Tell me.”
They settled on the sofa in the living room and Tina told Bette about her day and Helena’s visit. Bette moved closer when Tina told her about Helena’s threat and took her hand, “Is Helena going to create problems for you?”

NOOOOOOO Bette has to forgive Tina, she is the love of her life she cant just leave right ?
Can’t you just post a 100 pages at once?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
So glad to see you back :-) and thanks for this update, very powerful in so many levels and it left such a mix feeling now.. I hope another update will come soon to fix this ;-)
Now that was rough…i figure it would come out sooner or later. Tina was selfish but i understand..she didn’t want to loose the love of her life.. So Bette has to decide if she can forgive her. Bette should try walking in Tina shoes…if the decision was TIna and Bette knew that their was a choice “would she give Tina all the details”???
oh this is soo sad i love it this drama thank you great update!!!
I feel sorry not only for Bette but also for tina.. I knew that what Tina did is wrong but still i cant blame her. Oh Dear! How heartbreakingly sad that was? I know you’ll make it right. Thank you for this story.
Glad you are back.Great update bad sooo sad.Hopefully Bette comes back soon.PPS
That was incredibly selfish of Tina to take that decision from Bette, and her rambled excuse just seemed like back peddling. It was worse that Tina thought that life was so grand with that big elephant skeleton in the closet. Bette deserves the time away maybe Candace will help her unwind. Not very bright Tina, hey, you and Helena do make a better match. Thanks for the update.
