    Making plans.

    Chapter 6

     

    The next day began much the same as the day before.  They enjoyed another breakfast feast and then sat back in their chairs to discuss the day.  Alice was first to start.

    “Tina, I can’t believe how much better you look today.  Your hair looks amazing and I have to say, I for one, am thrilled you went back to your old color, for some reason I just don’t see you as a red head.  The bruises look so much better and the swelling is almost gone.”

    Tina smiled shyly and pulled her hand through her hair.

    “It does look better, doesn’t it?”

    Alice smiled and nodded and then continued.

    “So what do you say we make some plans?  Are you up to it?”

    "Yeah, I think I am.  That actually sounds good."

    “Well let’s see…You’re coming home with us, right?”

    “Yeah, Al I’d like to…but you guys are in relationships…where would I stay?  And I really don’t have much… money…and…”

    Tina put her hand to her face and covered her eyes.

    “I just feel like such a burden…”

    Shane stood and walked over to Tina, knelt before her, and took her hands.

    “Tina, if the roles were reversed for either of us.  What would you do?”

    Tina smiled at her friend and said,

    “Thank you.”

    Alice cleared her throat.

    “Ahem, okay, Shane and I already talked.  You’ll stay with me at first and we can both flex our schedules for the first few weeks until you can get around on your own, Shane still has her Jeep so you can use that once you’re cleared to drive.  We’re both putting 2 thousand dollars in your bank account as soon as we get back so you don’t feel like you have to ask for things, or whatever.  But we want you to know we are both really concerned about your Medical needs.  Do you have insurance Tina?”

    Tina smiled at her friends concern. 

    “As a matter fact I do have insurance.  My parents got me a policy when I lost the baby and have kept it up.  I will have some Medical bills but nothing too bad.   If I need plastic surgery on my eye down the road, that might be a problem, but that won’t be for a while.

    4. it’s just a little detail, but I realy think, if Tina had an opportunity to get her old job as a producer back, she would feel herself more independent more secure…;) although you shared just little information about Bette, I liked that she seemed so vulnerable, more willing to expose herself(her friends know about her paintings…) thank you for posting twice.^^

Hey D&A, What I love about this drama is how it demonstrates the love and support that friends, particularly female friends, offer.Tina has been through the worst of times and now wtih Shane and Alice’s help is on the road to recovery.Yes, there will still be bumpy bits but knowing you have such stalwart companions makes it that much easier to get through.It is going to be so interesting to read the rest of the gang’s reactions to Tina’s return particularly Bette’s.My hope is that Bette helps Tina deal with her addicition as she has been through this before with Kit. This will then lead to a budding romance, reigniting their relationship.There are times when being at your lowest point make you realize and appreciate the important people in you lofe. Bette is this for Tina so I pray they move forward together.Perfect writing and most enjoyable reading.Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

    15. I LOVE THIS STORY. So glad Tina reined Alice in a bit. and asked her to call Bette first because Tina is right Bette would be hurt if others knew before her that Tina was coming home. Hopefully Bette takes Tinas’ return well. And, of course, they do need to talk. Wonderful chapter. Thanks for posting. PPS
