She lay on the floor for hours.
At Tina’s:
She’s waiting for Bette to pick up Angelica.
“Where are you Bette?” Tina says silently. Bette should’ve been there 30 minutes ago.
She dials Bette’s cell, but only get the voice mail. She tries the house phone, but only the machine. “Damn Bette, you’ve never been late picking her up. Where are you?” She says a little louder this time.
“Mama?” Angelica asks.
“Yes, she’s coming soon.” Tina says. “Go play in your room while you wait.” Tina says. And Angelica runs into her room.
Tina calls Shane.
“Hello?” Shane says.
“Hey, Shane it’s Tina.” Tina says.
“Hey, long time no see, how are you?” Shane asks.
“I’m fine, you?” Tina asks.
“I’m great too. We all miss you at the Planet. You should come by more often.” Shane replies.
“I’ll try. Look Shane, I need a favour.” Tina asks.
“Sure, what’s up?” Shane asks.
“Bette should’ve been here 40 minutes ago to pick up Angie. She’s never been late before. I’ve called her cell and the house phone. Could you perhaps go and check if… I don’t know. Something might have happened or something.” Tina says and Shane hears that Tina is worried.
“Sure, I’ll go outside right now, while I have you on the phone.” Shane says.
“Thank you. I appreciate it.” Tina says.
Shane runs outside. And the first thing she sees is Bette’s car in the driveway.
“Her car is here. I’ll go inside, hold on.” Shane says.
“Okay.” Tina says.
Shane goes to the front door and sees that it’s open. She carefully walks in.
“The door was unlocked…. Bette? Are you here?” Shane calls out softly. She walks further in and towards the bedroom. The door’s open. Bette’s not there. Then she goes to open the bathroom door, but something stops it from open.
“I can’t get the bathroom door open.” Shane says to Tina.
“Oh please have her be okay.” Tina says in a shaky voice.
Shane use a little more force to push open the door. She manages to get her head inside and sees Bette on the floor.
“Oh my God… BETTE?” Shane calls out.
“Shane, what’s happening?” Tina screams.
“BETTE, can you hear me?” Shane asks. She push herself inside and down beside Bette. There she sees the tear stained face and it seems that Bette is sleeping. She put the phone to the ear and walks outside the room.

Caitlin’s explanation is pretty lame. I don’t think she’s really in love with Bette. Poor Bette, she needs to move on, again. :(
Lots of anticipation. Very good read. It’s going to be interesting seeing it build as Caitlin remains in the same house while Tina reaches out to Bette.

I was afraid of losing you. That was a bitter pill since she has been doing it for awhile. She tryed to turn it around because of Tina. Let Bette let Tina help her if not Bette will really be bitter and never trust another woman to really love. WHY THEIR BEDROON, Now another Mattress, thanks

“Honey, I love you so much I cheated on you! Don’t you see? I did it for YOU!” That sounds lame as does Caitlin’s explanation. As much as I want B&T back together, I don’t want Tina to smother Bette. Of course there’s still this Martin character. I hope I’m right in assuming he’s a nice guy. But that means he could end up really hurt if B&T make a go at it again. lol@Angelelica!

Is there any chance that Tina will start to remember how much she loves Bette and for Bette to remember also? Maybe now they can put all that hurt behind them and start a new.

What Planet was Caitlin on that she thought Bette would buy that ca-ca explaination? She must have thought she was talking to boo boo the fool. Out of all the places she could have cheated…she did it in their house in their bed…no excuse (that’s why on the show Tina is gonna have to bring the full dog and pony show to make up for the door f*ck w/Henry)…if you’re gonna cheat…then just freakin leave…these days doing something like that can be the same as pointing a loaded gun at your head because you don’t REALLY know if something like that can cause your significant other to go off the deep and kill EVERYBODY up in there. Please post soon.

Maybe Catilin is right. Maybe she has been competing with Bette’s love for Tina, and it could be that Bette isn’t even aware of it. Tina may be happy with Martin, but she belongs with Bette, they will realize this. Bette may have cheated but at least she honestly said she really could never say why. Catiling flatout said she did it to make her jealous, to notice her, give me a break. And in there home, nope you gotta go, bye,bye.
i want kick Caitlin buttom, she had a wonderful woman and she didn’t care. The Tina concern just show me how she care for Bette i hope this will help to realize how they love each other
Very interesting story Lauren. I meant to comment after the first chapter, I had to run out. Although Bette did cheat on Tina, I don’t think that this thing with Catlin can be compared as being thesame. First of all Bette kept her affair away from Tina, her family and friends. I think that this is a VERY important point. Yes it still hurts but Bette was disrespectful of Tina. It is one thing to cheat on someone and that is bad enough, but to do it in thier face and in the bed that you both shared is just SOOOOO Disrespectful and much more agreadus. You can not love someonre who doesn’t respect you. Yes I think that Catlin wanted to be caught and that speaks tro her character or lack there of. I hope that Tina is able to help Bette through this and they talk about the difference in the two betrayls. Tina should not have accepted Martin’s proposal when she is having renewed feelings for Bette. Eventhough Martin is a nice guy, he should rethink his situation in terms of marring Tina when she first hasistated to answer him and doesn’t want to start a family with him. It is as if that is something that she wants to be special between only herslef and Bette. Martin that is called a RED FLAG or a hint. Take the hint and cut your loses. Martin seems to be a safe place for Tina and a relationship should be about more than just being safe :o)
Girls you’ve got one hell of a story in your fingers, I wasn’t hardly breathing at all during my reading. Yes Caitlin was wrong cheating on Bette, but these things happen all the time, in my opinion people are not made for monogamy, they can try but… Anyhow, this story rocks, thanks for sharing.
