Dana knocked on the door exactly five minutes later than the arranged time, noting that to arrive early, or even on time, would seem a little too eager. She tried to brush out a few creases in her t-shirt and didn’t notice Alice opening the door.
"Jurassic 5?" Alice said, causing the brunette to look up in surprise. The blonde laughed at Dana’s startled expression before pointing at her shirt. "I wouldn’t have picked you as the music type."
"Not a lot of people do," Dana replied honestly, before looking up and smiling at Alice. She was wearing jeans and a loose, button-up, baby blue shirt with her hair up in a bun and her face showing only the tiniest signs of make-up. Her eyes were slightly darker than usual and her voice had that raspy quality achievable only after a heavy night out, and yet Dana couldn’t remember being more blown away by the blonde.
"Take a picture why don’t ya?" Alice said playfully after it became apparent that Dana wasn’t going to stop looking at her. The brunette’s eyes darted immediately to the floor, and Alice could see a slight red tinge appearing on her cheeks. Glad to have attained her desired effect on Dana, Alice let out a small laugh before closing the front door and walking past Dana, towards her car. "Can I drive?"
"Over my dead body," Dana replied, quickly forgetting her previous awkwardness. She opened up the car and got into the driver’s seat, next to Alice, who was looking at her in disbelief. "Don’t give me that look. I still remember quite clearly the one and only time you drove on the way to the conference."
"And?" Alice asked innocently, flashing Dana a 100-watt fake smile. The brunette rolled her eyes and started the engine.
"And you ran over a bird Alice, after almost hitting another car, all the while managing to put the hazard lights on… permanently."
"Ok that bird was obviously already on it’s way to animal heaven Dana," Alice replied defensively. "And the other car nearly hit me, not the other way around… and ok, so I may have stuffed the hazard lights up…"
"All in the space of ten minutes," Dana concluded, trying to keep a straight-face as the memory of their trip came crawling back to her. Alice stuttered and stammered for a few seconds before slumping back into the passenger seat in a huff.

Oh my gosh! I loved it! I was laughing the whole time. The chemistry between Dana and Alice is amazing. I love the part where Dana is trying to convice Alice that she’s a good tennis player. Excellent. I used to not like tennis, but due to Dana Fairbanks I now play tennis as often as I can (and enjoy it), and I’m actually watching the U.S. Open right now. I hope Dana and Alice play some tennis. That always ends up being really funny, or super cute. I wonder if both Dana and Alice are going to continue the charade of having girlfriends, or if they will just finally admit that it was all a ploy. I can’t wait for more. I really enjoy your writting.
filler? filllerrrr? lol this was great bo lol the whole talk about Alice and her amazing driving skills made me laugh poor bird!i really like Lara being Dana’s good friend! and nothing more lol she really suits Dana as a friend. Priceless moment was Alice trying to act hurt at seeing Shane with the “other woman” lol i wonder if Both Dana and Alice will keep this very funny charade of having girlfriends up tho however a big breakup between them all would be halarious tho soon following the oops it was all a lie thing just as funny lol BUT I am NOT however happy how u ended this…I want morreeeee! but i know i know real life comes first lol ty so much for the update!

Thanks for updating! LOL @ Shane and Lara making out. I wonder how Alice and Dana will react to it… as Shane and Lara being their supposedly girlfriends. Will they make much of a scene? And how long will it take before they realize the relationships were a scheme? ;)
Ok, totally loved it. But you already knew that! Danish was cracking me up, and I actually kind of, ok, really dig the idea of Shane and Lara. Too bad it totally just put our girls in an awkward position that both of their “girlfriends” are “cheating” on them with each other. Ha ha. I can’t wait for your next update! I might have to post my story again tonight so you’ll post yours for me! Damn you bribing me like that! How could I turn you or this story down?
So,So good… I love this story!! Danish are so funny and cute, cant wait for all the explaining to come. Yeah life does get in the way sometimes doesnt it? your either running round like a madwoman or bobbing along without a care in the world LOL. Anyway post as soon as you can..your worth waiting for!!
Fantastic update – anything with cute, funny Danish banter can never be called “filler”! I laughed out loud at Alice’s slightly belated and overly-dramatic reaction to Shane “cheating” on her. I can’t wait to see how Dana reacts to Lara’s “infidelity” as well! I have a feeling that Shane and Lara are going to force Alice and Dana to come clean with each other pretty soon – though I can’t imagine the game of one-upmanship will end there! Thank you for another great update – hope all is well with real life stuff, and that it doesn’t keep you away for too long!

Loved the bit about Dana trying to convince Alice that she playes tennis…Al’s repsonse was priceless. The whole chapter kept me laughing! Please find the time to update soon. (C’mon, who needs a life? lol)

you are such an excellent writer. i love this story – i started out with a bias towards soul singing – but as this one progresses – i love this one just as much. and while we’re on that topic – where is soul singing… hahaha. please update soon i miss danish when you are gone. well done! cheers!
Oh man that was really good, I cannot wait to see this one play out. Lara and Shane LMAO, two so called girls friends cheating on their so called lovers with eachother. Sounds like funny stuff to me, hope Alice can keep a straight face on though! Update soon, please!
