Molly takes the other lei, places it on Shane, kisses her and says “I love you, too.”

Shane wraps Molly up in an embrace as their taxi pulls up. They place their bags in the trunk, get in and take off for the North Shore.

After arriving at the hotel, getting to their room and changing into their swimsuits, Shane and Molly head down to the beach to do some surfing. They rent boards, rashies and surf shoes at the local shop and make their way down to the water.

“You sure you’re ready for this?” Shane asks Molly.

“Yeah. How hard can it be?” Molly asks.

Shane laughs and says, “Harder than you think. You should probably practice here on the sand first. You have to know how to stand up.” Shane places Molly’s board on the ground and gives her a quick lesson on how to stand up and how to paddle. After a few rounds of popping up on the board, Molly wants to get in the water. Shane asks her again, “Are you sure you’re ready?”

“Yes,” Molly says. “I’ve got a good teacher.” She leans in to kiss her.

“If you say so.”

They head into the water and get on the boards. Paddling out to the surf break, Shane gives Molly a few more tips. “Just turn around and face the beach. I’ll tell you when to start paddling, okay?”

Molly nods her head in agreement.

After a few waves go by, Shane yells, “Go!!! Paddle!!” Molly starts paddling and then Shane yells, “Stand up!” As Molly attempts to stand up, she falls off her board. Shane laughs hysterically and as Molly resurfaces, she asks, “Easy, right?”

“Fuck you!” Molly shouts playfully as she gets back on her board and paddles back out to Shane.

“Later!” Shane says, winking at Molly. She paddles out the surf break and yells back to Molly, “Let me show you how it’s done!” She waits patiently for the perfect wave, paddles fiercely and pops up onto her board. She rides the wave all the way to the shore and jumps off her board. She yells back to Molly, “See?! That’s how it’s done!” Getting back on her board, she heads back to Molly and gets Molly to try again. This time, Molly catches the wave and rides it. They take turns catching waves for a few hours, until they are both exhausted. They make their way back to the beach and lay down on the sand.
