    Chapter 27

    London – 2000

The grand opening of the Tate Modern was in full swing and it was a smash hit. Of course everybody in London, the UK and the rest of Europe for that matter knew about this event, which of course granted a huge amount of people visiting for the next few months and even years.

The four girls were going around the museum trying to see every piece on display, which of course had turn into something rather difficult given how crowded the place was and how incredibly big it was.

“Hey… has anyone seen Porter?” Alice was scanning the room but with so many bodies one next to the other her task was becoming quite difficult to achieve.

“Mmmm I think I saw her in the back of… somewhere” Shane was scratching her head, she was lost in that museum.

“Ahhhh it’s useless… we’ll never find her with all these people around” Julia was growing in anxiety.

“Oh I’m sorry… I don’t mean to disturb but… are you looking for Elizabeth Porter?” A stunning brunette with the perfect British accent and the most amazing blue eyes politely asked them.

All the girls turned around to take a proper look at the owner of such beauty and such voice.

“Well… yeah Bette Porter” Alice was quicker than the rest of them, probably because they were still on a trance at how beautiful and elegant and classy this woman was.

“Oh right… Bette… so you must be her American friends” The mysterious woman smiled at them with joy written all over her eyes.

And who the hell is this? Tina was dreading that answer.

Everybody was silent at that moment.

    “Sorry… I’m so rude… I’m Emily Adams… I’m Elizabeth’s… sorry Bette’s…” But right then she was interrupted by a familiar voice.

“Oh there you are! I though I would never find you” Bette was standing right behind her friends and then she noticed who they were talking to.

    1. I understand Bette but there’s a little part of me that want to smack her silly. Things are never easy, huh? Oh well. I’ll wait. Thanks for the post!

    2. Well Bette needs to be slapped by Alice upside the head.. in the words of what I am sure Alice would have said “what the friggin Frack”.Great story … but lets get these two tgether soon… too many years have passed already :-)..Great story thanks !!!!

    3. Wow. That’s so hard. My heart broke a little for them both. In some ways, I’m mad at Tina for being a chicken before and not owning up to her feelings, because if she had then there wouldn’t be all this pain for everyone involved. Great story, anne!

    4. Those were some beautiful words yet a sad moment between Bette and Tina. And now words on a much previous chapter, they should have continued that kiss, the food was ready but it was nt going to burn.

    5. I think Bette is right. She can’t just jump out of one relationship into another. She needs to get her head on straight first. Tina said she’d wait forever for her so I’m sure she’ll be there when Bette is ready.

    6. It’s totally understandable that Bette needs time she can’t just blow up her own wedding and then go away with Tina as if nothing ever happened. Even if it was only the second best for Bette it wasn’t just a warm body. Tina will have to understand that. Great chapter. Hope to hear more soon.

    7. Another excellent update. Anne83, this is a wonderful story. Thank you for this. Can’t wait to see what happens. It’s one thing after another for them isn’t. Thank you again.
