    – Dude! Who are you and what have you done to my friend?! –

                The next morning everyone woke up in an excellent mood, everyone helped making breakfast and the kids were all playing outside, this time Shane was inside catering to Carmen’s every desire. Alice was just really shocked by Shane, so she asked her if she could go with her to get some stuff they needed for breakfast, Shane hesitated for a moment ‘till Carmen nodded to her, only then did Shane said yes to Alice’s invitation.

     

                – Dude! Who are you and what have you done to my friend?! –

                – Oh, shut up Alice! I’m the same; I just made a few changes in order to be a better person. Maybe you’re having trouble with it ‘cause I’m happy and that’s something I haven’t even got used to.-

                – Ummm, I guess that’s it, I’m not used to see you like this, and coming to think about I’m not used to seeing you at all, we’ve spent so much time apart that I feel awkward having you around again.-

                – Yeah, you’re right I think it’s been awkward for all of us, and yet at the same time it’s like we were never apart…you know? The bond is still there stronger than ever.-

                – I know… But there are so many things that we missed out on each other lives, I mean, we weren’t here when Tina and Bette decided to adopt little Ashton, and we didn’t even know that you and Carmen were having such a wonderful time in New York, and neither one of you was there when Damien or Jessica’s first word, or step happen, and that was very hard, I think for all of us.-

                – Yes, it was, you have no idea how much I’ve missed you guys, and our get togethers, and going out with you and Dana, or just to be able to call you just to talk; you guys are my family, and it was killing me to be that far away. – By this time the girls were walking very very slow, and didn’t really care that the rest of the gang was waiting for them to get home so they could eat. So when they finally arrived they got lots of “where the fuck were you?” and “come on! We’re starving”. So the girls just blew everyone off, and settled to eat.

     

                The days flew by and it was now the time to say good bye, everyone was very sad, no one wanted to go, but they all had jobs and things to do back home, but then again the always felt like they we’re home, it was right there and West Hollywood. This good bye thing was harder for Shane than it was for anyone else, she really needed her family to help her this time of her life, she was gonna need Bette’s advice as to how to react to Carmen’s sudden mood changes, and Alice’s particular way to make her feel good, and she was definitely gonna need Tina to Explain to her how Carmen was feeling and why; and Dana, she just knew she was gonna need Dana. So all this was killing her, but she gathered her stuff and said her good bye.

     

                – Ok guys this is it. – She said carrying her and Carmen’s bags, with a very sad look on her face.

                – Oh, this sucks! – Alice said upset.

                – I know Al, but we have to go, and you guys will leave tomorrow. But this was fun, I’ll always remember it, and I do promise I’ll keep in touch. You guys have to go visit us when Carmen gives birth, so we’ll see each other soon.-

                – Yes, yes we’ll all see each other again in no time, and we’ll else be coming back to West Hollywood since Alice and Dana are coming to live here again, so there’s nothing to worry about. – Bette said, trying to reassure herself more than the others. Everyone just nodded and started to move along saying their good byes to Shane and Carmen.

    1. They’re going back to NY already? No, no, no. It must be tough for Shane to leave the family again (and vice versa), after such a great reunion. (I don’t remember, but did Carmen visit her family at all? I just kind of got to thinking about that. Hm.) I hope they decide to move back to LA; it’s wonderful to raise a child among a large, loving family.
