Shoot ‘Em Up
“Let’s talk about why you are here.” The therapist looked over at the bridge of her glasses at the woman in front of her.
“Why is there to talk about?” The therapist sighed and played with the pen in her hand.
“Why don’t we start with an introduction?” The woman slouched in the chair.
“Now,” the therapist nodded, and the woman took a deep breath. “You want to know my name.”
“Yes,” the therapist smiled, and the woman returned the smile faintly.
“My name is Shane McCutcheon.”
“Is there anything else with your introduction?” Shane shook her head.
“So why did you come here Shane?” The therapist crossed her legs.
“I’m here because I have a problem.”
“What is your problem?”
Shane sighed heavily. “I’m a killer—I-I’m a contract hit man or woman.” The therapist began to shift in her seat uncomfortably and chuckled nervously.
“This is a joke right?” Shane stared the woman in her eyes, and the therapist swallowed hard. “I—uhh,” she cleared her throat.”Why are you a contract hit woman?”
“It was the choice that I made.” Shane grabbed her pack of cigarettes from her coat pocket and put the cigarette to her full lips. “Is it okay that I smoke in here?”
“You’re not suppose to, but I’ll let it go this time.” Shane lit the cigarette and took a drag. “So what made you become a hit woman?”
“I guess it’s the only thing I’m good at. Killing bad people—well my boss thinks they’re bad people.” She licked her lips and exhaled the smoke from her nostrils.
“Well Shane,” the therapist took off her glasses and wiped them off. “How many people have you killed?”
“I don’t know—closely to fifty people.” The therapist looked up at Shane. “Are you scared Dr. Willows?”
“I-I’m not scared. I’m just shocked that’s all. I’ve never had a contract killer in my office before.” Shane changed her position in her chair. “Why did you come to me about this?”
“I guess—I needed someone to listen to my problems and keep them confidential and not tell anyone. Hopefully you’re trustworthy Dr. Willows because I don’t trust people. And if you slip up about me, I will have to kill you.” Dr. Willows stared at Shane with fear and felt her heart in her throat. Shane noticed Dr. Willows’ tenseness and laughed. “I’m just messing with ya.” Shane continued to laugh, and Dr. Willows began to chuckle lightly. “But seriously,” Shane snubbed out her cigarette. “I will kill you if you do slip up.” Dr. Willows became quiet once more as Shane got up from the chair. “Well I’ll be seeing you soon doc, but our time is up.” Shane smoothed out her jacket and smiled at her therapist.

Hi Akira! Very intersting start. I have to say, second to Tina, I LOVED Carmen, and wasn’t happy to see her off the show. I would have loved to have seen them develop her and Shane further, by getting them married. This is a good start here, and will be quite interesting to see where you take it.
