SLAYER (3)
Chapter 3
A Tornado Blows into Town
Peggy looked at Tina for a moment before she spoke.
“Come with me Tina. I want to show you something before you leave.”
Tina followed Peggy out trying not to make a break for the door. She just wanted to go pick up Angie and go home.
They entered the tastefully decorated office. Peggy had a knack for design as well as art and her office was beautiful. Peggy motioned for her to sit on a large chair that matched the one she sat on.
“Peggy, I appreciate you wanting to help but I have to pick up…”
“Tina, I would like to think of myself in the same category as one of your aunts. I’ve known you since you were a little girl and I couldn’t love you any more than if you were Helena’s sister. Now sit down and let me help you.”
Tina knew better than to argue. She sat down, preoccupied with what had just happened with Bette.
Peggy pointed her wand, lowering a large screen and projector which began clicking; signaling that it’s power was on.
“Peggy, I really don’t have time to watch…”
“Christina, hush up and listen!”
Tina sat up straight as if she had just been reprimanded by her teacher.
“Now watch what I’m going to show you and maybe it will help you with what you are going through.”
The picture was grainy at first but as it came into focus Tina could see a familiar face. The street was dark but it seemed as if the camera was equipped with night vision capability. There was no mistaking the form coming out from the shadows. It was Bette, dressed in her work clothes. A dark tank top, cargo pants, and a plethora of weapons strapped to her perfectly toned body.
Tina watched the live feed from the camera unfold like a movie. Her wife moved like a panther in the last stages of the hunt; just about to pounce on her prey. Tina sat on the edge of her seat as she watched a vampire about to bite a young man. She looked at Peggy as if to ask why Bette wasn’t helping the young victim. She looked back to the screen and watched Bette bide her time. Another vampire appeared just to the left of the victim. Bette had sensed the presence of another vampire and knew enough to wait for him to show himself. She seemed to move like the breeze. She swung her silver sword maming one vampire and distracting him temporarily with his injury. She reached back for her crossbow and with one pull of the trigger; the metal stake impaled the first vampire, turning him into a pile of dust. The other vampire, now enraged, went for Bette with the speed of an oncoming train. Bette swung her left leg in the air, knocking the vampire to the side long enough to push the second metal stake into him and saving the young man from certain death, or worse a soul-less life.

Oh my God I have to tell you I have such conflicting emotions right now. Delight at seeing the second post from you had me giddy but the way you’ve ended it has me holding my heart. Please tell me that A will be alright along with Tina’s mother. Is this revenge from some vampires? Someone who has it out for the witches in general or is it about T&B. Anxiously I’ll await your next post. Oh yeah this was awesome.
