    Part 2 – Bette and the kiss…

    So much more than just a kiss

    I watched Jodi walk away with Kit.  I don’t really know why I made the excuse of staying at the club.  Yes, I did say I’d make sure I waited for Shane, but I also knew that she wouldn’t mind or have a problem if I wanted to leave earlier than if she was ready to go home.

     

     

    Her usual behaviour at any club would be that we would never see her to say goodbye anyway, such was her wanderings following any available female form to conquer.

     

     

    But for some reason tonight I felt the need to stay on, I don’t even know whether that would be to look for Shane or just a pure excuse so that I didn’t have to go home with Jodi.

     

     

    This would be the second night that we had not spent together, we had that altercation in my office yesterday over the soapstone gun and even though the piece was not within her power to control, the fact of it being part of her class was…

     

     

    Why couldn’t I seem to get her to understand the severity of that incident…, there were occasions where the need of ‘art and talent’ had to be taken out of the equation when it came to someone pointing a gun at their head…, the facts of that were clear… Surely.

     

     

    But it had pissed me off that she couldn’t seem to grasp that, but what did I do…, I tried to be the better person. Something I was trying hard at lately, it seemed all my spare efforts were into doing what I thought to be the right thing.

     

     

    It would have been easy to fly into a rage yesterday but I took a deep breath and tried to put things into perspective, and I thought I did a good job with that, but…, there always seemed to be a but lately…, but I wanted to be in my own home, in my own bed.

     

     

    I wanted that sense of peace and relaxation that only came when you were in your own surroundings.  For some reason I don’t think that I had been able to allow myself to settle into that when I stayed at Jodi’s apartment, I couldn’t quite put my finger on why.

Jo, JLB+T …I think I held my breath for a good part of this, particularly through the entire feelings expressed and felt by Bette right before, during and following “the kiss.” Intense, Deep, Emotional, Provocative, and gosh you just drew me in once more. Bette has worked so hard on self reflection, and working on those things that she needed to address in her life. She certainly could go back to Tina a better and more healthier woman. I also think Tina is a far more stronger woman, and more of Bette’s equal today than back then. When you wrote what Bette felt when she reconnected with this woman she loved before, it was amazing. That feeling is a very true one, and you can feel that difference when you give yourself back to your mate when you are a better person. Bravo! This was amazing. I sure hope you both team up and continue to do A LOT more of these fics together. You are the official Fan Fic Dynamic Duo! LMAOOO!!!

    15. Great, great writing. In my view, from watching their shared moment, it appeared as though when Bette weakened, Tina strengthened, and their traditional roles switched. For me, that’s what makes this season (and story) interesting, is that they are not the same people they were when they started the show. Bette has mellowed. Tina has become empowered. I hope you continue the stories as the episodes are aired across the remainder of the season. I’m certain it will be emotionally griping as well as entertaining with these two fantastic actors.

    16. WOW!WOW!WOW! You really captured the deep emotion, the inner turmoil, the subtext of that kiss, which is more than just a kiss to Bette and Tina and to all the faithful TiBetters of course. This is an excellent, moving piece of work. Thanks a lot, Jobadge and JLBT! Can I look forward to your re-team up for Episode 506? I think you’d have two incendiary scenes to deconstruct and dissect for that episode. :>

    22. WOW, WOW and WOW again. It was so great t see what they were probably thinking as they were kissing and in their minds thinking of their past life together. You knew that’s what they were thinking especially when Bette started to cry. Actually I thought Tina would cry first, glad it was Bette instead. I really have enjoyed this collaboration and hopeful the two of you will continue to give us another view of each episode after it airs. PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE? PPS
