SOMETHING SO RIGHT
Chapter 20
Bette stepped out of Mr Huth’s private car and waited for Tina to get out of the other side. It was almost 1am and they were just returning from dinner with the billionaire. Bette looked at Tina who was chatting in the way that she often did when she was a little drunk to the driver who had brought them back to their hotel. Tina took a step back and looked at Bette – the car drove away and they were left in front of the hotel looking at each other
Bette saw the love of her life – the woman who was gentle and loving but as she had shown over dinner was also a great business woman. She had “sold “ the Production company to Mr and Mrs Huth in a way that had not been over bearing but it had been confident and intelligent.
She had been witty and open and utterly charmed all Mr Huth and his wife who had found Tina to be “ just a delight darling “. Tina was slightly drunk – Bette reached out and took her by the hands. Tina grinned and moved closer.
Tina had always seen Bette as others didn’t but what she had never seen was the full power of the Power charisma turned on for her business. Tina had always known that Bette knew a lot about Art but tonight her lover had taken her breathe away she had been so well informed and articulate. Bette had talked to Max about shape and form and influences and had just been spell binding – none of the Huth’s had been able to take their eyes off Bette. Hell – Tina hadn’t been able to take her eyes off Bette. At one point Mrs Huth – who was called Anne had been showing Tina around the house while Bette was in Max’s studio with Peter and Max. Tina’s tour had ended in Max’s studio and the two women had watched Bette for several minutes. Anne had turned to Tina and said “ You are a very lucky woman Tina – Bette Porter is a one off “
“You okay ? “ Bette asked Tina

HEy Ally, Good to have you back. I just adore the wonder that is a BnT beginning in your safe and comfortable hands. These gals really connect it all your delicious dramas. Here Bette and Tina are equals in everything they are doing. Loved that Tina is ready to leap out of the closet and let everyone know that Bette is her lover and partner.
