SOMETHING SO RIGHT
Chapter 11
Bette parked her car, jumped out and fed a few coins into the parking metre before looking around for Tina. She was late for their run. It was Sunday morning and they were again spending the whole day together. The day before had been a significant one -the first time they had kissed, the first time that Bette had faced fear of rejection in any relationship – let alone the one that she was currently having and the first time that Bette had left Tina alone at the end of the night and wanted to cry because they were not going to be sharing the same bed. Bette ached for Tina – longed to taste the blonde sweet, soft inner lips and yearned to gently explore inside her. Bette had woken up at 3am soaking wet – almost as soon as she had touched herself she had come explosively – and the name she had cried out had been Tina’s.
Tina was already on the beach doing some stretching exercises when she spotted Bette’s car. Like Bette she was still coming to terms with what had happened the day before. Kissing Bette had been something beyond her wildest imaginings – she had tasted perfect and Tina craved more. Eric’s phone call had been the only negative part of the day and Tina had feared that Bette’s defences would immediately spring up and she would change her mind about being with her.
But Tina was beginning to understand more about the brunette – there was a basic core of insecurity about Bette Porter. For all the expensive college education, the sophisticated job, the flash car and designer clothes – Bette Porter craved affection but at the same time she had denied herself of the opportunity for so long. Having a different woman every week was Tina’s idea of hell and she was slowly beginning to understand that it was Bette’s own hell – a self inflicted torture. Hadn’t there been some mythical Greek who had been punished by the Gods to push a stone up a hill for eternity ? It seemed fanciful but Tina suspected that Bette had been in that situation – cursed by a combination of her beauty and deep insecurity.

Lamentamini – when i write it its “come” because i am such a pedant that i cannot use predictive texts – so all my text messages are 2-3 pages long because i have to use the proper word – mind you i am an old so and so. i know that doesn’t clear anything up but i thought i would offer my opinion.
I really, really love this story. I like that Tina has all this cool stuff in her background like being a great athlete. Bette would admire something like that.. as long as it came with brains as well. Can’t wait for Hawaii. How exciting.
