    Chapter 20: Star crossed lovers

    The Cabin, Yale, Seventeen years ago, Tina’s POV

    I had dreaded this day, the day Bette told me she was to leave. I knew it was going to be London. I felt my heartbreak in two then shatter into a million pieces. We had got out of bed and dressed; we were sat at the dining table both broken.

    “This is your dream Bette, it’s what you’ve been working towards” Each word only increased my heartache. But I was right; it was her dream

    “But I have you now and I don’t wanna leave you” I sighed heavily and shook my head. I couldn’t let her throw her dreams away for me. It wasn’t what I wanted.

    “You wanted this long before you met me” Bette’s tears rolled slowly down her cheeks as I spoke “I won’t let you throw it all away because of me” Bette took my hand in hers and squeezed it gently

    “You’re more important to me than any lavish gallery opening” I closed my eyes when Bette spoke those words but they wouldn’t change my mind into getting her to go “I love you more than life itself” I gently began to stroke the top of Bette’s hand with my thumb. I had to swallow the lump in my throat

    “Please don’t give up your dreams for me” Bette shook her head. She was being really stubborn “If you love me as you say you do than take the offer in London” I knew I had left Bette with no other option than to accept the offer, not matter how much it broke my heart

    “Then come with me” I was taken aback by Bette’s proposal. She was asking me to go with her to London. I knew no matter how much I wanted to go I couldn’t. I couldn’t leave my studies just like Bette couldn’t refuse the offer

    “As much I want to you know I can’t” I saw the hurt and devastation in Bette’s eyes. She was broken like I was. My own tears began to fall again. Our hearts were breaking “I will always love you” Bette leaned in for a kiss and I met her half way. It was a slow, soft, loving kiss. All our broken feelings conveyed in one kiss. Bette was the first to pull away

    1. That was awesome!!!!! Please don’t let anyone or anything mar this reunion of the two lovers. They need this time after all these yrars. This is true love, they have kept themselves for each other, after all, Tina still wears the ring Bette gave her. What did Tina leave in Bettes suitcase all those years ago? They need to be alone now to really consummate their reunion. Thanks for posting.

This couple is insanely sweet, they’re cute together, please give them as much time together as possible. =)) Tina’s position reminds me of the song ‘Do It Again’ by Jessica Mauboy, go check it out, its really nice. =D Thanks for this, maybe they could make a quick escape? Their love has endured the time and distance apart as it is constant and pure.Their love is like energy, it can change and adapt form but never be destroyed.I got tingles as I read this chapter.
