Chapter 23: It’s A Surprise
Los Angeles, Present Day, Normal POV
Bette and Lois were out shopping for some new clothes. Bette wanted a new suit for the opening and Lois wanted a new dress; however Bette also had an alternator motive, she wanted to buy Tina an engagement ring. She was going to ask Tina to marry her the night of the opening but first she had to get Lois’s blessing.
“Lois can I ask you something” Lois looks at Bette and nods. Bette was nervous enough about buying the perfect engagement ring but she was even more nervous about asking Lois for her blessing “I want to ask Tina to marry me and I would like to have your blessing before I do” Lois couldn’t believe Bette was asking for her blessing. She had only met Bette and was still a little weary of her but she knew how happy Tina was now Bette was home and she knew that she couldn’t deny her daughter happiness
“You want to marry Tina” Bette smiles politely and nods. She wanted to be Tina until the day she died and marriage was something that she had always wanted herself and Tina. She wanted it seventeen years ago and she wanted today
“More than anything in the world” Bette knew she had to be convincing to convince Lois of her love for Tina. Bette knew how much she loved Tina and how much she had missed her in the seventeen years they were apart
“I know how much Tina loves you Bette” Bette smiles and blushes slightly “I want my daughter to be happy and I know that she’ll only ever be truly happy if she’s with you” Bette gulps hard to shallow the lump that had formed in her throat. Bette felt the same way; she could only ever be happy if she was with Tina “So yes Bette you have my blessing” Bette lets out a huge sigh of relief. Now she can the person she had loved for seventeen years until the day she died
“Thank you Lois this means everything to me” Lois could see how happy Bette was now she had her blessing, it was in her eyes. Before Lois knew what she was doing, she took Bette in her arms and hugged her tightly

Bette knows how to win older women as well as young ones. Glad that Bette asked Lois for her blessing. Tina is one lucky lady. thanks
Happy that Lois gave Bette her blessing and has decided that they are truly in love with each other. Now everyone is happy. No problems coming that would give us a huge dose of drama, I hope. Great update. Thanks for posting.
