            Bette was lying in bed, she was ***** faced and she laughed ruefully at the thought of her being drunk beyond reason.  Bette stared at the shirt she’d found the day after Tina‘s left.  Tim‘s shirt for some reason it haunted her relentlessly, Tina.  What had you done with Tim in our bedroom?

            What do you want Bette?  Forgiveness?  Why in the world would I do that?  You can’t take care of yourself why should I be with you? You are a wretched shadow of your self, a ghost stalking the halls of your home.  You are a cheater, a ***** and even more so, a total loser in what you call your life.  Are you who you want to be?  This is the life that you’ve built, the life of fictions and deception.  Bette looked at the shimmering image of Tina at the end of the bed.  She sighed, oh great it was back, thought Bette. 

            “Can’t you leave me alone?”  The image laughed and Bette hid her face in the pillow, and she could feel the hard stare of the ‘ghost’.

            Yesterday is over Bette, we aren’t us anymore, and you broke all of your promises.  Close your eyes and try and wash it all away with the booze, it won’t work!  I’ll be here, relentless as your own conscious.  This is your life!  This is what you wanted!  Are you desperate enough to do it now?  Is this the dream you had for us, for yourself?  Yesterday is dead and over!  Answer me!  Tina yelled yet her mouth never moved it was all in her head as she bellowed back.

            “You don’t care!  Why should I talk to you?!?”  Bette said, throwing the pillow at the ghost, and it winked out of existence. 

            Bette stumbled up knocking over one of the picture frames that was on the dresser, and the ring that Bette had around her neck swung into view.  She grabbed hold of it as she sat heavily on the floor her body a wreck.  Bette touched the glass that was now shards, just like her mind her body and her soul.  Pieces of me, she thought ruefully.  She heard that voice Tina‘s hard cold voice urging her.
