Tell Me Again – Chapter 21

    –Jerry Kennards House-

Tina pulled down her fathers long, gravel coved driveway and parked the car.  Tina hated driving her car to her dads house, she was just waiting for the day she would hit a bump and the car would just fall apart.  It was a beautiful house though.  It was right on a secluded lake with only five other houses spaced equally apart.

Tina and Jen walked through the front door and found Jerry and Frank sitting in the family room.  Jen walked over and join the two men on the couch and Tina walked into the kitchen.

Tina:  Hey she said stepping back into the living room with two bottles of water.

Tina threw Jen one of the bottles then sat down in an open seat.

Frank:  Your dad tells me youre going back to California tomorrow

Tina:  Yeah, goin back to school she smiled and took a drink from the bottle.

Frank:  Well im gonna miss you at the studio, if was nice having you

Tina:  Thank you, I had a good time working for you, believe me im gonna miss that job she smiled and looked over at her dad. By the way thanks for telling mom

Jerry:  Im sorry Tina, I thought you already told her.

    Tina:  Its ok

Jerry:  So I got some information for you he said as he got up and walked into his office, retrieving some papers and an envelope. I already called UCLA and got your reenrollment started.  Here is all the info I have so far he handed Tina the papers Your gonna need to call them when you get in.  Here are the keys to the apartment he handed Tina the envelope I had a cleaning crew in there today so it should be ok when you arrive

Tina:  Thanks a lot dad, you really are a life saver

Jerry:  Well somebodys gotta counteract your mother he smiled and gave Tina a hug. So are you girls hungry?

    Tina/Jen:  Starving

Tina and Jen looked at each other and laughed.

Jerry and Frank retreated to the kitchen and began gathering items for the grill while Tina and Jen walked out back and onto the dock.  Tina walked to the edge of the dock and kicked off her flip flops, she rolled her corduroy pants up to her keens and sat down, letting her legs dangle in the cool water below.  Jen followed but kept her appendages far away from the water.

    1. You stayed up late to post and I don’t even get to read it until today. Damn, work..it just gets in the way. Great chapter and you love to leave us hanging… ; )

    2. Way to go dad! I like Jerry Kennard, he takes care of business! Are he and Frank lovers?

Hey, no pitstop in the Bay Area? I know you wanted to just get Tina back to L.A., but a detailed roadtrip at another time would be fun!

I love the youthful exhuberance of this story! There’s a carefree aspect to youth that gets lost as one gets absorbed in the duties and responsibilities of life. Thanks for the lift!
I can’t wait to see what Tina is going to get into next!

Wonderful chapter. SO glad she is back. You have to post again soon, like today. I am going to San Antonio tomorrow and won’t be back til Sun. lol So I need you to post today. :) Love it as always.

    4. Great job, as usual! I feel like I’m always sayin’ the same-old-same-old, ’cause your writing is so consistently wonderful! Hey, I’m going to make a guess on who it is at the planet–Alice? OK, I lied…I’m going to make another guess, just in case…Kit? Oh hell! I don’t know! I want to say Bette but I’m thinking that would be too quick. I hope it is Bette, but…I should shut up, shouldn’t I? Thanks.
