    Chapter 37

     

    Tina looked into the eyes of the woman she knew had broken Bette’s heart into so many pieces that Bette almost couldn’t out back together.

    She watched as Jodie shook Helena’s hand and then reached out for her’s Tina hesitated for a bit and Jodie noticed she arched up a brow, Tina cleared her mind and took Jodie’s hand in hers and shook it.

     

    “Nice to meet you” Tina finally said

     

    “Tina it seems that Jodie went to Yale with Bette”

     

    Tina pretended not to be aware of that bit of information.

     

    “Oh really that’s nice” Tina forced a smile

     

    “You know Bette?” Jodie smirked as she remembered Catherine’s comments to Bette the other night about the studio executive.

     

    “Yes I do, very well” Tina smiled as she saw the mischievous look in Jodie’s eyes.

     

    “Hmm” Jodie said as she nodded

     

    Catherine sensing the tension that suddenly filled the air cleared her throat and broke the silence

     

    “Jodie, Helena here was just telling me how her mother Peggy Peabody is a big fan of your work, I think she might be interested in picking up a piece for her mother as a present”

     

    “Yes, I know Peggy she’s quite the collector isn’t she?” Jodie asked

     

    “Yes, mummy is fascinated with all forms of Art”

     

    “I was wondering if it was ok with you of course, If I can show Helena some of your pieces?”

     

    “Of course, please go right ahead” Jodie answered

     

    “Helena, if you follow me I can take you to see Jodie’s work”

     

    “Fantastic” Helena replied

     

    “Tina, are you coming?” Helena asked

    “No, you go ahead I’m going to take a look around at the space, come find me when you’re done” Tina smiled she wanted to give Helena and Catherine some time alone.

     

    “Ok” Helena answered

     

    Both Helena and Catherine turned back to give Tina and Jodie one last look, as they seem to sense the uneasiness between the executive and the artist.

     

    “It was very nice to meet you Jodie, now if you’ll excuu…”

     

    Jodie cut Tina off

     

    “She’ll never commit to you, you know” Jodie said

    4. ILMuzic, how I have missed you. Thank you so much for this post. Shane needs to tell Bette about her conversation with Tina. I don’t want Tina to give Jodi the opportunity to get Bette back. Jodi will destroy Bette. Tina needs to confront Bette about her talk with Jodi. Alpha Tina needs to take control of this situation. AWESOME update. Please don’t take tooo long tooooo post again.

    5. WOW!!!! I think Tina should have went to Bette and told her she knew Jodie was in town and that Bette had talk to her. But, I am glad she called Shane and talked to her. Now Tina go get your woman to talk. Thanks PPS
