The Adventures Of Bette Porter And Sissee Gardner After Yale (Part 3, Chapter 7)
PART THREE: MENDOCINO, CALIFORNIA
Chapter 7
I told Bette I would drive but she insisted she was fine. I was also under the influence so I figured between us we would get down the hill. She was cautious and drove very carefully.
“Did you find anything worth buying?” I asked.
“I did,” she answered. “There’s a lot of talent in this town. In fact, I invited about ten artists to bring their work down to show Terry and Edward. I called them and arranged for January appointments.”
“You were a busy girl,” I said.
“I was.”
“Where are we headed?”
“You’ll see……”
All of the galleries I saw were on Main Street. Bette, however turned off of Main and onto a dark side street.
“Where are we going?”
“I am going………to show you just how much………I missed you,” she answered, as she pulled the Corvette over to the curb, turned off the lights and cut the engine.
There was just light enough for us to see each other’s faces, to look into each other’s eyes and see the growing connection between us, the pull, the attraction.
She put her right arm around my shoulder and touched my face lightly with her left hand, dropping her fingers to my mouth, tracing first my top lip, then the bottom one. It felt so personal, so sensitive that I reciprocated, touching her lips with my fingers. Our eyes locked, our breathing increased. Then I put one of my fingers into her mouth and she sucked on it while I watched.
I just wanted to say her name, to whisper it solftly and when I did, it was like a match that ignited our passion. We were suddenly all over each other, kissing, touching, reaching down between our legs, breathing into each other’s mouth, caressing, entering, squirming, writhing, gasping until we both went limp with inexplicable pleasure.
When it was over we did not want to let go. We did not want to move. We both seemed to know that this relationship was in a rapid growth pattern that had just hit a new plateau of feelings. It was becoming something strong and powerful, all of which was scary as hell.

kbergin, Sorry I was late with this chapter but we had weekend company and I could not do what I love best, write about SissBette. But I managed to get the chapter off last night. Thanks for being here and thank you so much for your kind post.
Now, THAT WAS HOT! What intensity. Like valcn said, two grown-ups falling in love. OK, I’m feeling better about this. I was a little nervous about sissie leaving Bette for the boyfriend and we can’t have that! Really loved this chapter. Wow, where do you go from here??
Hey thereIt’s holiday time so I’m reading heaps, things I don’t usually get around to; so I just caught up by reading backwards (yeah, lol, Its my left-handedness that causes me to do that sort of stuff) thru part 3 and then went to part 1, posts 1 and 2…my comment very descriptive elegant writing…I’m a thru and thru TiBetter but when I find a good story teller I read on…like what u r doing and u’ve inspired me to go back to work on a pre-Tina story that I started but just left hanging; maybe one day I’ll post it when I’ve completed one of my others; I see some commenters don’t like your short posts but never mind, I prefer ’em short and I know how long it takes to write a one pager let alone more…as I said enjoying the elegance and descriptiveness of your writing…it’s nice for me a non-American to visualise the places you take me too…altho u seem to have a small reading constituency here never mind… I, myself can be quite narrow in my interests until something just seems to draw me to a story…and I had heard about yours elsewhere so I saved it up for my holdiay pleaseure…just need to go hang out the washing, its a sunny windy winter’s day here in NZ then I will get back to catching up. Keep posting.
Artgirl, Thanks for your comments. Very nice. I loved your superlatives – “hot”, “intensity”, “loved” (this chapter). And then you asked, “Where do we go from here?” To Newport Beach, California.
im luvin it ms. sissy gardner – but i have 2 ask dose ur wife know u n bette r madly in luv!? just jokein doll – cant wiat 4 a update on thiz – now what?
OKAY I’m all caught up…intrigued as to where the adventures will take Ms Porter and Ms Gardner…post away…
What’s so wrong with a little pre-Tina romance. This story serves to show that Bette indeed had a life before Ms. Kennard came along. I think it makes her more interesting. Thanks!
yoda, It’s best I don’t answer your question. Let’s just let there be a mystique about it.
Rau, Thanks for your post and encouragement. Sorry you had to read the story backwards though. I like your getting us acquainted with you, being from New Zealand is great to know and I hope you will enjoy the progress of this story. SissBette will be traveling as you know, eventually even to Maui. As for my low readership, yes, that bothers me too but I will settle for what I get and I appreciate the apparent loyalty of a few. I hope you are with me for the long haul and we won’t have to wait until the next holiday for your comments.
Utterly wonderful.
Sissee -I love the way that these two fell in love: like grownups. Eyes wide open and still a little wide-eyed wonder manages to creep in. They are brave enough at this point to feel and act and feel again. I know that there are sturggles ahead for them but it was great to be reminded of how powerful their inital connecting was. Thanks for the refresher.
Sissee, I’ve been waiting for this chapter. So funny, I loved it. She loves Bette and Bette loves her. Life is wonderful is’nt it? PPS!!
Valcn, Thanks for your comments. I love hearing from you. I don’t think you were with us in the beginning so you are kind of getting a prequel. Anyway, your opinions are always valued here. My best to you, Sissee
AshleyRoth, Thank you very much. That’s inspiring.
techgal, What am I hearing from you? That some feel that reading this story is a betrayal of TiBette? I hope not, as you said, Bette had a life before Tina.
