Shane put her hand on Marina’s shoulder.

Shane: She’s with Bette.

Marina: Oh, I am so sorry. I didn’t know. Bette must have been keeping you a secret.

Tina was unbelievably thankful for Shane at that moment.

Bette was walking back with Kit as Marina started to slink off.

Bette: Are you ok T?

Tina: Oh yeah fine.

Bette: Everyone treating you ok?

Tina eyed Alice with a cold stare.

Tina: Yup, perfect.

Alice smiled at Tina. She knew she was being a little harsh but she was very protective of Bette. Even though things didn’t work out with them she considered Bette to be the one that got away.

Kit: Hey Tina, it is so nice to meet you. You’ve been keeping my baby sis very happy.

Tina: well she has makes me equally happy.

Bette: Do you want to dance T?
Tina had been so wrapped up in meeting Bette’s friends she almost forgot this was a club, A club with loud music nonetheless.

Tina: Sure.

Tina took Bette’s hand and followed her onto the dance floor.

Tina had never danced like this with another woman, she wasn’t sure she knew how.
Bette sensed this and calmed Tina’s fears.

Bette: Its ok, just close your eyes.

Tina felt the music flood her soul and when Bette’s arms wrapped around her she was lost in another world. In Tina’s mind it was just the two of them floating into eternity. Never before had Tina felt this way with anyone. She was used to being in control of herself. With Bette she didn’t care about anyone or anything but them. She lived in each moment never letting anything come between that.

The girls all sat at the table their eyes glued on the new couple.

Kit: Bette really likes her.

Dana: They are such a cute couple.

Shane: Totally ***** cute.

All eyes turned to Alice.

Shane: Just admit it Al.

Alice: Fine, their cute ok? Happy.

Dana: Yes
Shane: Yes

Kit: Yes.

When the song stopped Tina stayed in Bette’s arms a few seconds longer.

Bette: Thank you for coming with me.

Tina: It was my pleasure. But I have to admit that I do have some questions for you.

Bette:; Shoot.

Tina: Not now. I don’t want to ruin this moment.

Bette became a little nervous at that response.

Bette: is everything ok?

Tina: Fine. No worries babe. Just some questions.

Bette: Do you wanna get out of here. Maybe take a walk on the beach?

Tina: That would be perfect.

Tina took Bette’s hand and they headed to the table.

Bette: Guys, we are gonna get out of here.

Shane: We understand.

Bette: It’s not always about ***** Shane.

Shane: I know, but don’t you think it should be?

Tina giggled. Bette rolled her eyes.

Tina: It was really nice meeting you guys.
Dana: You too Tina.

Kit: I’m sure we will see you again soon.

Bette: If I have anything to say about it.

Alice: I hope we see you soon Tina. And I’m sorry.

Tina nodded to Alice acknowledging that she accepted her apology.

Bette: What are you apologizing for?

Alice began to tell Bette what happened when Tina cut her off.

Tina: Alice and I had a difference of opinion on a song that they played earlier.

Alice’s face went white when she realized Tina just covered her *****.

Alice: Yeah but I was wrong.

Bette: Alice? Admitting defeat?

Alice: Yup. Tina wins.

Tina and Alice knew there was more to that statement then a silly disagreement.

The two new lovers said their goodbyes and made there way out the door, still with all eyes on them.
