    The Gathering 01.15

     

                Sam‘s journal entry from her trip to the ‘Burg – This plays a part in later chapters, so hold onto ya seatbelts  Cuz QAF meets TLW

                Sam sat on the plane heading back to LA it had been over three weeks that she’d been away and she ached for the sight of Shane.  She’d been working on something rather special for Shane for all the women of that dynamic group she suddenly found herself a part of.  Sam had a plan, as C.J. would have said with a giggle in her voice.  Sam always had a plan.

     

                Sam pulled out her Dell laptop; she scratched her side and felt the sticky cardio tab still there.  Sam reached under her shirt and pulled it off with a grunt.  The computer booted up and she opened up a blank page, taking in a long deep breath.  She hated when nurses forgot to take those things off, now she’d be itchy all day.  She typed:

     

                I always wondered where I had come from; the joke about aliens always makes people laugh, but when you don’t know your family.  Well its hard to be able to love someone else, there is always something nagging in the back of your mind about it.  I never expected to find anyone who was related to me, since I was never looking.

     

                C.J. was my family, my heart and my love.  Now I have this second chance, (I think, sort of) with Shane.  I’m crazy right, talking to myself.  On paper no less.  No one ever accused me of being a brain surgeon, ha!

     

                I went to the new VanGuard office and saw my dad, my father. 

     

                Gardner is a funny guy, he is a great business man, who wants to rule the world.  Well this guy, Brian Kinney just swept the world out from under him.  In one loud resounding thud, Gardner is laying flat on his back.  I sort of liked seeing my father pleading for a hand out, when I was with C.J. all I asked was that he accept her, and he didn’t.

                Sam bit the inside of her lip, thinking for a minute.  She needed to get this out; it had been an eventful few weeks.
