“You can’t just say
something like that and then chicken out!” 
Lara said with a smirk.

            “I’m not doing this
here.”  Jayden back peddled.

            “Oh why the *****
not?  They all know.”  Lara
said with a grunt.

            “That I’m falling in
love with you?!?”  Jayden yelled.  The pool went silent and they all turned to
see Jayden’s face turning bright red.

            “I was thinking a
crush…”  Lara
said embarrassed that she’d pushed the subject now.

            “I was thinking
*****…”  Shane
offered and Sam pushed her head under water, and
Shane came sputtering back up, silent this time.

            “I was thinking, holy
***** this isn’t supposed to be happening.” 
Jayden confessed and then swam to the edge of the pool, Lara
hot on her heels.  They grabbed towels
and Lara led her into the house, where they
could talk.

            “More *****
drama.”  Muttered Kit
and the all splashed her; and Kit let out yelps
of helplessness.  “No more, no more!”  They chuckled and smiled.

            “It’s about time she
admits it.”  Bette
said softly trying not to look at Tina when she
said that.  Tina
didn’t notice, she was watching Sam and Shane
kiss at the other end of the pool, their bodies pressed against one another and
a gentleness was between them.  There was
still heat too, sheer passion, Tina ripped her
gaze away from them. 

            “Ready for bed?”  BetteTina, Sam
was putting them up for the night.  One
big slumber party at Casa De
Vance and McCutcheon.  TinaAlice
helped Dana out of the pool, Kit
turned off a few of the other lights and they went inside, leaving the kissing
lovers in the pool.
