    “I know you just wanna top me baby,” Tina grinned, taking Bette’s hand and guiding her back to the bedroom.

    "That’s so gross T," Bette pouted, shaking her hands in the air before taking a seat on the bed, "He’s like a brother to me."

    Tina grinned at Bette’s discomfort, "Are you sure it’s not just because he has a penis?"

    "Uhhh!" Bette huffed, getting up from the bed again and walking out of the room. "You’re gross," she said over her shoulder.

    Tina chuckled to herself, but she knew she’d have to make it up to Bette. She felt bad, but she sometimes found it funny how uncomfortable Bette was with men. Tina wasn’t uncomfortable about the subject of men – as long as she didn’t have to see them naked she was fine – but Bette was always disgusted.

    "Babe?" Tina asked, grabbing a shirt to put on before walking out into the hall. "Bette? I’m sorry," she called out, "Where are you?"

    Bette was shaking her head, standing in the bathroom and leaning over the sink. Tina smiled at the sight but reminded herself to be sensitive.

    "Baby?"

    "Why would you even say the word penis when we’re being intimate? Eew Tina. Really eew."

    Tina bit back her smile. "I know hunny," she said quietly, walking in beside Bette.

    "Don’t," Bette said back, swallowing hard.

    Tina stood a foot back and saw the insecurities Bette must be dealing with. "I’m really sorry baby. I forgot how much you hate it."

    Bette shrugged and looked up to her, "Is … that what you …"

    Tina tilted her head in amusement, frowning quickly when she saw the real concern in Bette’s eyes. "No! No, Bette. Babe … aww hunny." She walked up to Bette with a smile and threw her arms around her. "Aww."

    Bette sighed and closed her eyes at the contact.

    "Baby, you know I love women," she chuckled, squeezing Bette in her arms. "Aww hunny."

    "Please don’t mention that when I’m making love to you," Bette said quietly and Tina melted with her tone. She brought her head down to see Bette’s expression. The  brunette’s honesty was breaking her heart.

    "Aww baby," Tina said softly, "I love you so much and I’m sorry I was insensitive."

    No matter how silly she thought it was, that look on Bette’s face was enough to understand and try to make her feel better. She loved her so much that even if Bette was a little sensitive at times, she didn’t mind. She was just happy she could make her feel better.

    3. So good to hear that you are feeling better. A really bad cold is a nasty thing, it can take so long to feel better sometimes. Great update. It was poignant for me how Tina was consciously able to give up control and maybe more so on how Bette was so tender and understanding with Tina’s vulnerability.
