I open the front door and throw my hand bag both in exhaustion and frustration onto the couch. The house is dark. I head straight to the cupboard that harbours the scotch. I pull out a heavy bottom crystal tumbler and pour in a generous amount. I take a sip and throw my head back and turn my head to stretch my neck. “Fuck you Kit” I say out loud “It’s not me who doesn’t know what I want.” I kick my shoes off, leaving them in the living room and head into our bedroom. I toss my clothes off and put on a pair of jeans and a casual tee-shirt. I grab a candle and head out the back to the pool. How ironic, I used to sit out here for hours wishing Tina would come back and now here I am wishing she was not coming back tomorrow. I know in my mind that this wish is only temporary. I am aware that it is late but I do not care. Deep down I know I should care, my wife and new born child are coming home tomorrow. I watch the candle flicker on the table and look out at the pool and wonder why life cannot be like that, transparent, cool and calm. I plant a foot either side of my recliner out door chair as I bend down to pick up my cell.
Janice: “Hello”
Bette: “Did I wake you?”
Janice: “As a matter of fact, yes, it’s late?”
Bette: I feel a bit sheepish. “Sorry”
Janice: “It’s OK, is everything OK there?”
Bette: “I just called to say I had a really nice time tonight, thank you.” I say with feeling.
Janice: “It was my pleasure Bette.”
Bette: “I guess I should let you go. I just wanted to say I really enjoyed myself.”
Janice: “Me too. I had a nice time. I’m awake now.”
Bette: I hesitate. “Why don’t you come over?”
Janice: “I don’t know Betteyou have a big day tomorrow, shouldn’t you be getting to sleep.”
Bette: “I’m not going to sleep Janice. It’s up to you, I’ll be here.” I snap aware that the combination of strong brown liquid and tiredness are making me quicker to anger than usual.

so screwed up, both of them…i leave it up to to make it right…and by that i mean B&T together of course LOL
I think Tina’s the wrong party, maybe she should open up first. If Tina didn’t have an affair, Bette wouldn’t make a move on Janice. I think she just wants Tina to care, to hurt. BTW, Janice is a great and wise woman. She turned Bette down twice, which is not easy to anybody.

Bette already answered that question. Tina owes the answer here. Bette said she wanted her family, Tina said I don’t know, so Tina WHAT DO YOU WANT?!
I think its important for Tina to know how Bette found out, while searching the net for commitment rings. Tina also has to be honest about her disgust with Bette wanting sex with her, yet she’d leave Bette in bed to screw a guy online. I’m not sure Tina really gets how messed up things really are for Bette who not only could lose Tina, but the girls, in an “embarassing” way.

UnB, Oh my god, what a twist tale this has become. Thankfully Bette and Tina are talking and therefore I see some hope for the future. You often never know what you have until you almost lose it so please have Bette admit that she needs Tina. Bette needs to open up and be honest with Tina. Tina must listen to Bette and try to find the common ground to rebuild their union. Thank you for these wonderful words and storytelling. Your Loyal Fan.

Great job. I am taken by the words we sometimes use and how they can haunt us. It seems that Bette may be haunted by her same words. How easy it is to throw them out when we don’t always understand their meanings. Thanks Unb for another great chapter
Cliff hangers are not fun! I think they both need to go out, have an affair and then go home to one another, compare notes and see what they really want. I wouldn’t do that, but at least they would have their answers! These two are seriously irking me off.Post soon.
Great update Unbeknown. If you don’t post more often I don’t think I’ll make it through S3. Umm, memo to Tina: It’s not enough to imply that you care because you say that you want to make it work. You should actually tell Bette that you care, you love her, you’re sorry, and you miss her. *Sigh* I just want them to be happy again!
This is driving us crazy, ok what the hell are both of them want. Please let them talk and work thing out and be together. Ok post soon please, thanks! Oh I like the kids name, Laurel and Jennifer is beautiful names!
