    the L saga: Episode Forty-Eight

“Nice of you to come home.” Moira crossed her arms. “Are you high? Are you drunk? What is it this time?”

“I don’t think that’s any of your fucking business. Where’s Erica?” Jenny took off her heels.

    “She’s in her studio—sleeping.”

“Are you checking on her now?”

“Yeah because I don’t trust her around you. You’re bad news Jenny—you’re becoming bad news.” Jenny walked away from Moira and smiled.

“I love being the bad news.”

Eva walked out of her house and went to her car. A man approached her and grabbed her arm.

“What the fuck man?” He pushed her against her car.

“I don’t know who the hell you are, but stay away from my wife.”

“What are you talking about? I’m not messing around on your wife.”

“Don’t play fuckin’ dumb with me. Stay the hell away from Diana—she has a family to take care of. She doesn’t need to be messing around with Hispanic trash.”

“Hispanic trash?” Eva shook her head. “Listen here man—Diana chose to be with me. I guess I can satisfy her in ways that you never can. She screams my name so loud when I’m fuckin’ that sweet little pussy of hers.” Eva smirked. “Besides—you two aren’t together.”

“Bullshit!” The man showed Eva his ring. “We are still together—we have two kids, a daughter and a son. We’ve been together for twelve years, been married for two and half years.  I love my wife, and I won’t let anyone like you ruin that for me!” He punched Eva in her stomach, and she dropped to the ground. “Stay the fuck away from my family.” She coughed and held her stomach as he walked away.

“Shit,” she groaned and slowly got back onto her feet.

“She had me watch a lesbian porno last night, but we really didn’t even watch it. We ended up fucking on the living room with Shay in the other room.” Shane sat a book down on the counter, and Alice looked away from the computer.

“Wow—I wish that me and Dana would watch pornos from time to time.”

Shane sighed. “That’s not the point Al—that’s so unlike her though.”

“Well sometimes Shane—you never know what the person is like into you get deeper into the relationship.”

“We dated for almost two years. How wouldn’t know what she’s like?” She crossed her arms, and Alice got up from her desk.

“Did you have fun last night?” Shane smiled and nodded.

“Yeah—we had fun.” She looked at Alice. “So what’s up with Dana and this whole thing at the station?”

“I don’t know—she really wasn’t worried about her career, but now she is.” Alice chuckled softly. “I can’t believe how outrageous this has become.” Alice stood next to Shane.

“Things will get better—this is a one time thing. You both will stand above all of this at the end.”

“Wow—the yoda has finally spoken.” Shane smiled and turned her head towards Alice. Alice smiled back and looked down. She looked back up, and Shane was still looking at her. The smile fell away from Alice’s lips as she stared into Shane’s dark blues. Shane bit her bottom lip as she adored her friend in front of her. “Shane—why are you staring at me?” Shane blinked twice and looked away.

“I’m sorry—,” she exhaled and rubbed her hands on her jeans. “I-I think it’s time for me to go.” She began to walk towards the door, and Alice pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and crossed her arms.

“I’ll give you a call later.”

“Yeah,” Shane nodded and opened the door. She took a step back when she saw Dana. She smiled softly. “Here’s the superstar of today.”

“Shut up,” Dana smirked and walked into the house. She walked over to Alice and pecked her on the lips.

“I’ll let you two be alone.” Shane walked out of the house and closed the door.

    1. helena should make babies with bette, but if she can’t, then sonja is better…kick dylan to the curb, that’s what i say. but then i’m biased: i have a thing against raising babies with women who once made a mockery of feminist efforts to get sexual harassment on the map by fake-charging me only to take it all back and admit their deep and abiding love for my booty. not that this has ever happened or that i cannot draw a line between fiction and reality. wonderful work as always akira…really good, and super funny on the dana/alice front. i like your alternate universe. pps, but i’m having a hard time keeping up:)

    2. You brought me out of my silence with this Shane/Alice moment. What was was that? Please don’t do anything to mess up Dana and Alice, pretty please??
