I watch her leave before going to retrieve my overnight bag and bringing it to her room. I remove the two gifts I have bought her. Then I slip out of my shoes and change into a casual shirt without a bra and go in search of my woman.
She is in the kitchen chopping some vegetables for dips
Hey thats my job I say putting my arms through hers and tasting her neck.
I want you to relax for a few hours Bette – enjoy being pampered
I can hardly say that I dont get pampered
By me – not someone who treats you the way they do because of your job
Hey -it goes with the territory – I dont like it but I accept it
Ill get all of that when we come out in public
I hear the doubt in her voice
Not guaranteed – you can be as much or as little in the limelight as you want
Oh come on Bette — the first female President to have a female partner – it would be open season
She pulls away from me and walks across the kitchen to get a red pepper from the bowl.
I mean it — you could do as much or as little as you wanted
For God sake — Id be your partner – I can hardly go and get a new job
Why would you want one ?
What ?
Why would you want to leave the White House — you will stay on my team until the day I cease to be President
As what ? — in some window dressing role ?
She looks at me and her eyes are full of anger – where the hell has all this come from ?
No – you would be one of my senior advisers and you would work damn hard
Yeah but Bette — how could it work ? How could I work – say in a communication job with Alice if even though she was senior to me she couldnt pull rank on me because I sleep with the President
Come on Tina — its not like that – it has never been like that in my administration. Yes Shane is in charge but thats it as far as rank goes — whats all this about Tina ?

My only complaint about this story is….. We dont get enough chapters a day, I would like at least 4 to maybe 6. Everytime I log on you are the first post I look and pray for. Please make our girls ok as I could’nt cope if anything happened to them. Love it
Ally this was a really touching chapter, though unsettling and a bit sad. I could see it happening as I read your dialogue. I really wonder what’s going to happen next. Can’t wait for the next installment.
That was so sad. To live in Fear that the one you love can get murder in a split second. That would make me run into a dark cave and take her with me never to be seen again. thanks
I feel the deep freeze settling on Bette and Tina’s relationship. They’ve had these short-lived arguments for the last little while…which usually means they’re heading for the automic bomb of arguments. It is a lot of change Tina but make up your mind regarding this relationship. Ally, another amazing chapter. Hope you’ll post soon.

Just read up on the L Wing!! It’s been an absolute treat to be able to read all 42 chapters and not have to wait. Now, I get to wait along with everyone else. I love your portrayal of two obviously strong women with their own vulnerabilities and demons and how they’re gradually breaking down those barriers and letting more of each other in and trusting each other. There are bound to be bumps along the road but I hope you will keep B & T together nonetheless. Hope that words won’t escape you for long. Looking forward to more updates. Thanks, Ally.

damn I get the feeling this ain’t gonna end well. And maybe there will be a sequel. Tina some how or the other is gonna leave Bette, cause she can’t deal with “it” all, am I right, oops forgot you don’t respond to comments. Any who it’s B & T they have to be together!!!!!!!!!!
BRILLIANT CHAPTER! I SAID… BRILLIANT!!! Full of emotion, passion and intensity – there feelings coming through, Tina’s insecurities and Bette’s protectiveness, and Bette does get how much Tina has to give up. The trials and tribulations of Love, they even affect the President, just goes to show how being in love is such an overwhelming feeling that can be shown through so many emotions, you show them all so well mate.

another awesome chapter, Ally!.. from where I stand, Tina’s being a little over-dramatic, but I suppose she loves Bette too much to lose her.
Well Ally, you make it easy to understand how Tina could be livng on the horns of a major dilemma. Major case of being conflicted on the occassion of Bette’s first visit to her apartment. The joy of it finally happening, the prospect of her privacy disappearing forever. But life usually demands a price for all good things. How bad does she want it?

Don’t make us wait so long
Poor Tina and her demons. She wants so badly to be everything to Bette but is scared of loosing herself in this powerful woman. Thanks for the baseball reference. I love baseball and love Sammy Sosa (although, I think that he retired this season). Guns and Roses does not exist anymore but most are in a new group called Velvet Revolver (with the lead singer from Stone Temple Pilots). I am hoping that Tina will come to some type of understanding within herself to allow her and Bette to continue to be a wonderful and powerful couple.
this comes with the office…it will be hard for them to make it public…i hope you’ll find the way…but for now-keep them together and happy
Loved the chapter. You were so right on with Tina’s fears. As well, their love has been so swept up that the change in both their lives hasn’t truly hit them yet, well until this chapter. I think Tina is doing pretty well considering, they are moving really fast so I don’t blame TK for her worries. Wonderful writing and great realism thanks.
what intenses chapter, i understad Tina is a lot to Give up but she has to take the risks, Bette is a wonderful person and lover her so much!i hope their weekend won’t end with a big Figth! excelllent post as always
My friend, that was a fantastic chapter. I just love the way you write Bette and Tina talking to each other. You show us their true feelings and because they communicate things will work out for them. I trust you with all our B&T hearts–you would never betray us or them.
