“Dana—Dana, are you all right?” Dana heard her name being called as she began to open her eyes. She winced in pain as her head throbbed. She moaned softly as Alice looked at her. “Dana?” She looked up and saw Alice looking down at her.

“Alice?” She groaned as she was chained against the wall. “What the fuck is this?”

“I don’t know—,” she shook her head. “I just want out of here.”

“I’m going to help you okay. I’m not going to let anything happen to you.” Dana began to pull on the chain, and she groaned loudly. She dropped to her knees, and Alice watched helplessly.

“What are you trying to do?”

“I’m trying to get out of this—we need to get out of here.”

“Yes, but what is going on?” Dana sighed heavily as she sat on her knees despairingly.

“We were captured by mutants.”

“Are you still on that mutant thing?”

“It’s not a joke.” Dana snarled. “I’m a fuckin’ mutant Alice—I’ve been one all my life. Do you know how hard it was for me to fit it? You don’t have a fuckin’ clue! You’re a human—you’ll never understand what I’m going through.”

“I won’t understand—I won’t understand. Alice looked away and looked at Dana. “I was hurt after I found out that you were a mutant. You waited for two years before you told me you were a mutant. Did you even think of what that would do to me?” Dana looked down. “I loved you Dana, but you kept a secret from me.”

“I did it for good reasons.”

“Why? Tell me why?”

“Because I love the way you looked at me. You didn’t know my secret, and I wanted to keep it that way.” Dana brought her head up. “But you fuckin’ ran out on me when I needed you the most! Were you afraid? Did you think that my infection would rub off on you? What I have is a gift, but you didn’t stay around long enough for me to tell you!” Dana broke the chain from the wall, and Alice jumped. “You are weak! You a sorry excuse of a human!”

“Dana what’s wrong with you?”

“Magneto is right—it’s our time to reign.”

Alice shook her head. “Dana please—don’t do this. You have to do what’s right.”

Dana got up from the ground. “I am doing what is right.” She smiled. “Your time has come to an end,” she walked over to Alice and grabbed her face. “I want you to be there when everything that you know will come extinct, and it will the brotherhood that will rule this world.” She pushed Alice in the chair, and it slammed into the wall. The chair broke, and Alice hit the ground. She was knocked unconscious as Dana approached the door. The door crumbled as Dana walked out of the room.

“You have finally came to your senses child.” Dana turned around and saw Magneto smirking. He walked towards her and placed his hand on her shoulder. “Welcome to the brotherhood.”
