Jenny: I need to go back home…

Marina: Will I see you tomorrow?

Jenny: Yes.  Right now, I just need to go home….and just think to myself for a while.

Jenny turns and walks away, her mind overwhelmed with thoughts about her relationship with Marina and her life since meeting her.  She’s heading back home.  Currently at her home in the living room are Shane and Max, who rest on opposite ends of the couch.  The TV is on and empty beer cans clutter the table in front ot them.  Meanwhile, outside of the house, Helena’s car pulls in.  The car goes past Shane’s and Max’s and pulls in right at her room.  Carmen, who had been dozing off in the car, opens her eyes.

Carmen: ….This isn’t my home.

Helena: …Yes it is.

They undo their seatbelts and exit the car.  Helena walks with Carmen towards Helena’s room.

Carmen: Why did you bring me here…?

Helena opens the door to her room, the former writing studio for Jenny, which before that was simply a garage.  Helena and Carmen walk hand and hand before stopping in the middle of the room.  Their hands clutch each other as they stare face to face.

Helena: I need to you to tell me what’s going on.

Carmen: What do you mean…?

Helena: Carmen….this isn’t you.  What’s happened?  Hmm?  You almost have a 3-way….you kissed me…this…this isn’t like you, darling.  Is it something I did?  What is it…?

Carmen: …It’s not because of you.  When I told you I was looking to fuck…I was not playin’….  I’ve been wanting to get Shane out of my head ever since I left Canada.  When me and Leigh first hooked up, I didn’t think about her at all….but….lately it’s been constant.  And I’m reaching out to anyone and everyone and I’m probably losing friendships over it…  I…I’ve become this thing that I don’t like.  And I hate that I used you like that tonight…..that was wrong.  But I meant I what I told you earlier…it sucks you don’t have any waiting arms here.  You’re too…beautiful…and sweet and kind….  You’ve risked God only knows what for me…and Shane, too.  I wish there was a way I could repay you.

Helena: ….That’s not why I try to help.  I do it because I love you very much.  I love all my friends…  There was a time where you all could have simply left me behind due to my arrogance, but you didn’t.  And I’ll never forget that.  Please, Carmen…just tell me what you want.  And if I can give you that, I will.
