    Author Notes:

    Kit tells Angus the news. Alice tells Lara about Tonya moving in to Dana’s old home. Dax calls Cherie’s house and gets a surprise. Max and Shane chat on the way to the store. And other stuff.

    Jenny: Um……..yeah, sure.  Just drop by.

    Marina: I was thinking of a nice dinner somewhere tonight.

    Jenny: …I don’t really wanna go out.

    Marina: That is fair, then.  I will see you tonight.

    Jenny: ‘Kay…

    Carmen: Hey, guys…I gotta head to the house and then get ready for work at The Planet tonight.

    Shane: Any chance you can swing back by here…?

    Carmen: …..I’ll think about it.

    Carmen reaches over and kisses Shane on the neck.  She then whispers into Shane’s ear.

    Carmen: ..babysteps…

    Carmen pulls back and Shane understands with a nod.

    Shane: I’ll um…I’ll be here waiting.

    Carmen: Okay.

    Carmen exchanges ‘byes with everyone and leaves.  There’s a silence in the room.  Max takes the opportunity to break it.

    Max: Dude…we got a grill here?

    Shane, Helena and Jenny all exchange looks with each other.

    Jenny: I think Tim left his old one here when he moved…

    Max: Awesome.  I’m-a run down to the store and grab a couple steaks.  Anybody wanna ride?

    Looks are once again exchanged.

    Shane: …Yeah, I’ll go.

    Max stands up from the couch.

    Max: Cool.  Let’s go, man I’m drivin’.

    Max walks by and gives Shane a pat on the shoulder while heading for the door.  The pat is rather heavy handed and Shane winds up favoring her shoulder and grimmacing.  Jenny and Helena are slightly amused, but keep the laughter to themselves.  Shane walks out, after Max.

    Helena: So…tell me a little about this Marina, please?

    Jenny: Oh, God…  Well, let’s see….um…where’s a good place to start….?

    Helena takes a seat.

    Jenny: Yeah, get comfortable.

    As Jenny begins to explain to Helena her history with Marina, Tina’s feeding Angelica next door while Bette receives the news from Kit that she finally broke the news to Angus about being pregnant followed by a sigh of relief that’s shared universally.  The same feeling isn’t shared as another phone call goes differently.

    Dax: Is….Cherie there?

    Francessca: Cherie’s not going to be available for a little while.  Who’s this?

    Dax looks at the phone for a moment and can tell by the tone of the woman’s voice on the other line that maybe she’s in over her head.

    Dax: Yeah…uhh….maybe I’m lookin’ for the wrong one.

    Francessca: Perhaps you are.

    Dax just shakes her head and blinks her eyes as she hangs up.

    2. Oh that was too funny about the LA Yankees. You know that New York has never forgiven the Dodgers for leaving to go to California. This is an awesome story. It has everybody in it and things seem to be working out. Love the idea of Bette and Tina together with Angelica. Please post soon.

    6. Love Shane and Carmen progression. I’m happy that they didn’t make amends right away, they need to take it slowly. Conversation between Max and Shane was very cool, that kinda talk should have been on the show.

    8. Yay, another chapter up! Great work, keep it up. Hmm, a little angst in the works once Alice and Lara actually go into Dana’s house to visit Tonya? Somehow I picture that could lead to a really touching and also hot session of comforting one another, hehehe…by the way, what happened to the strawberries? Lol. Only time will tell. Francesca and Cherie, wow. And Shane is telling it like it is to Max, awesome. Looking forward to next chapter, a fanfic to anticipate, very nice, thanks!

    11. I think it’s awesome so far. I’m sooo relieved that Kit changed her mind…whew!! **Wipes brow** I like how all the characters are so interwined, that’s so cool. And yeah, being from the E. Coast, L.A. Dodgers? Biggest insult ever to a sports fan. Bad Shane. I think everyone is where they should be, still feel bad for Helena, she’s so alone, now that she’s good it’s kinda sad. I love Alice and Lara. They are the best couple by far. Hope they stay that way, we are normal ppl. I.C. should take notice of your writing, awesome dude!! Well, take it easy can’t wait for the next Chap. Cheers!!!
