    A B/T romantic comedy

     

    Tina closed the door to their room behind her, the click as the handle shifted into place sounding unnaturally loud in the silent room.

    She kicked her shoes away and then leaned to rest her back against the door, her heart thundering in her chest as she watched Bette intently. Moonlight streamed through the window and highlighted the brunette’s silhouette, standing still in the middle of the room, while it left her face concealed in shadow. Her eyes always so expressive were hidden in the darkness, unreadable. Unmoving, Tina waited for Bette, this would be the brunette’s choice or not at all, the blonde wouldn’t push. Even though their dance had left her in such a state that she felt she might scream in frustration if Bette didn’t touch her soon. She wouldn’t push.

     

    Bette stared at Tina. The pale moonlight that bathed the blonde made her skin look marmoreal, like the most refined of sculptures, an artist’s perfect vision taking human form. For a second the brunette couldn’t breathe as she stood in awe of such beauty. But Bette knew she knew because they had been pressed so close a few minutes ago, that if she just extended her hand and touched she wouldn’t find any of the cold and aloofness of a majestic statute. No, she would instead be met with sweet warmth and softness and those ivory arms would close safely around her and welcome her home.

    Bette licked her lips, savouring the anticipation, the tingle low in her belly and the weakness in her knees that she hadn’t felt in so long and that she hadn’t even noticed that she missed.

    She too took off her shoes before she walked the couple of steps that separated her from Tina, placed her hands on either side of the blonde’s head, trapping her against the door but not letting their bodies touch. She met Tina’s eyes and smiled at the longing that was apparent even in the dim light as a pleasant shiver ran down her body. 

     

    “Bette.” Tina half whimpered half growled. She was shaking, her hands closing into fists against the cool wooden door behind her. The couple of inches of air between them almost seemed alive with buzzing tension. Being denied the touch that she was craving only made her body ache more for the feel of Bette’s pressing up tight against her.

    39. I had been wondering where this story was but that was worth the wait. I hope this solidifies something more in their relationship.. and that Bette shuts any of Jodi’s advances down more vigorously then she has previously. The connection she seems to have with Tina deserves that much.

I’m always curious to see how writers handle NC-17 when writing such a beautiful and romantic love story, as the nature of such a scene might represent a big challenge… Well, I’m glad to say that you didn’t disappoint in the least!!! And considering that the last chapter can very well be considered a “sex” scene in itself, I’d say that the bar was set even higher! Well, you did absolutely great; the build up, the emotion, the ever present connection, the first encounter and the slow progression toward the second…. everything was very well done, and I appreciated the “humility” of the whole scene. What I mean is that you didn’t try to do too much too soon just because it’s “them”, and that leaves a huge potential and a very promising progression for the relationship and the story to come… Thanks a million, keep writing, and please post soon! ;) K.
